  1. Personally I post DNF'S for all caches I don't find. I even like a DNF now and then. It means they are a little challenging! I have posted multiple DNF'S for the same cache in fact. Eventually I usually get to post a found. I may be mistaken, but I always thought one was supposed to log each visit to a geocache. A NM log, in my opinion should only be logged if one knows it needs maintenence. How can you know that if you didn't find it? As a CO. I want cachers to post their DNF'S so I can maybe check on the cache or elevate the difficulty level. As a CO I get e-mail on every log at my caches whether they are DNF'S or finds. I got one the other day on a find that let me know about a wasp problem. Wish they would have e-mailed me. AS for the question, Yes post a DNF. No, don't post a NM unless you know it needs maintenence. Maybe try to contact the CO. and if that doesn't work do like I did on a cache in my area, post a needs archived note and ask the CO if they are going to take care of their cache or archive it. 2. I for one love nanos, but if only I have to hunt for them. The magnetic keyholder or film canister placed on the sign or in the guard rail is booring. Sure, it's a quick P&G but I'm in this sport about fun, not racking up chaches I've found. It doesn't bother me in the least if I have to go back a couple of times. Sure it's nice to find an ammo can full of swag, especialy if the G-Kids are with me, but no-one leaves anything worth trading anymore. I used to leave lotto tickets in every cache I found but due to people not reporting if they had a winner (not saying they had to) I kind of stopped that practice. To get back to the topic, my favorite caches have either been nanos or nanos in the stages of a multi.
  3. I once found the top half of a human skull near ground zero of a cache. Never did find the cache. Don't really care to go back to that DNF
  4. Just spent half an hour trying to list a new multi cache and lost it in a second
  5. I see all kinds of buried caches caused by pointy objects. These are not in the ground, but clever hides in upright structures. But buried none the less caused by pointy objects such as drills
