Ok, where do I "put" those files before I sync my Palm? I know which files, I just don't know where to put them.

I just got my Tungsten T3 yesterday and loaded all of the software onto my computer. I also downloaded the CacheMate zip file and extracted the folders. Now that I've done all of this I want to put CacheMate onto my Tungsten. Since it's a T3 you have load special files from and the online read me guide for loading it is very confusing to me. Could someone please give me detailed step-by-step instructions on how to put it one my PDA? Thanks in advance!

Is there a Mac equivalent of this software?
Arndtwe replied to magellan315's topic in General geocaching topics
P.S. Even if there was a Mac equivalent to "Cachestats", you still have to be a premium member to use this program. So the best choice would be to become a premium member. Here is a quote from the link that you provided: -
I was just at the site where you can get CacheMate and while looking at it I noticed "download zip" and "purchase". Does this mean you can just download it for free, or do you purchase it AND download the zip? I am very confused!

There is no better one that I know of. 8 bucks is a good deal. Yeah, 8 bucks IS a good deal. But you said that you didn't know of any BETTER, what are the ones you do know of? After all, GSAK is the "best", but I much prefer EasyGPS (just as an example).

I'm getting Palm Tungsten T3 in a couple of days and I was wondering if there is a free downloadable equivalent to CacheMate? If not, no big deal I'll just pay the 8 bucks and use CacheMate, but why not save $ if I can. Right?

I think that you should get an email with a "code" that you have to put into a box on geocaching.com. That doesn't help very much, but I think that a link is provided in the email to the box I'm talking about. If not, I don't know the link, but you could probably find it pretty easily.

I'm not talking about having it show them on a map but more like showing them on a list as if you were searching them like you do a zip code or coordinate search.

I don't know if there is or not. But i have a better solution. This is a win win solution, go to geocaching.com and become a premium member. Not only will you help support geocaching as whole by doing this, you will also get extra benefits like instant notifications, filtering, and pocket query's. Now you may be wondering how this is a solution, well, once you can run pocket query's click the "add to que" or whatever it is at the bottom of the query page, then download it from your email. Then, go to www.itsnotaboutthenumbers.com and upload the downloaded file. This site has all the stats you could ever dream of, and it gives you HTML code to put on other websites -
Where do you buy those?!?!

Here are some screen shots of the features I was talking about. This feature gives me a GC search from anywhere on GC.com, not just the homepage The circled link that you see is the direct logging button that I mentioned in my earlier post. As you can see in the picture, it is not on the cache page. Even though you're not on that cache page if you push this button, you will be taken to the "log your visit" section for that cache. The circled is actually a couple of different added features. These buttons allow me to instantly ad my find count(and this thing keeps up to date on my number all by it's self). They also tell me how many characters I have left before I run out of room. I can also adjust the size of loge vertically and horizontally. These next few are for the Groundspeak forums. This one allows me to basically "bookmark" my favorite forums on here, and provides me with direct links to them. This last one gives me easy access to anyone who posts find and hide count. This as we all know, can be very handy at times. So my question is: If all of these different features can be added using a simple scripting program, couldn't someone make a script that adds a feature to GC.com that allows searching for archived caches? I personally would if I knew how, but I don't. I do know however, that there are a few forum regulars here that do know how to. Would any of you (the guys that know how) be willing to make one?

Is it possible to add a feature to GC.com by making a script using Greasemonkey? I have Greasemonkey and have added a whole list of features to GC.com by previously made scripts. Some of those include, direct logging button on cache listings when not on the page, showing all logs posted on a certain cache in top right corner and a number of other things. Why can't one be made to search archived caches?

Nope, no way, I'm not telling. You stay away from my Boletus edulis! LOL Oh and as for the OP, can't really help with that, but you might want to try the "off-topic" section as this isn't exactly a geocaching topic. I'm sure he would take to "Off-topic" but he's not a premium member.

My uncle rides motorcycles and owns a Honda, and he said that his does this too. The reason he said, is so that riders feel like they are going faster than they really are, that way they'll keep their speed down. I don't know how true this is so don't take it to the bank, if you think about it it kinda makes sense.... I guess.

I tried Google and couldn't come up with what I want. The cubes you showed are almost perfect, but do you know if they are metal? Do you know where i could get metal ones?

Um, well, that would be cool if I wanted to make ice. I'm looking for something that you can put into a geocache, I don't think ice will last to long in there.

It's kinda lame, but at the same time, pretty cool. I want to get little metal cubes that are exactly 1 cc or cubic centimeter or cm3. However you like to call it. I also thought it would be really cool if either cc or cm3 was engraved on one or more of the sides. Of course, this doesn't need to be there, but does anyone know where i could buy these? Either one with or without the engraving will work. Thanks in advance!

Great! Till you ride in the rain the next time....

Where do you go to download this pic?
-
Are you sure it wasn't $50 dollars less because of a rebate? It might be listed as $50 dollars less because of this, but is what you paid. Now you have to go to the above link and see if your GPS has one.

Is it the... car? -
What's your point? Images make great hiding spots for hidden data, but this data is often lost when downloaded to gc.com, due to their compression software. A cache with off site hosted images is usually a good indication that hidden information can be derived from within the images. Hmm, that makes sense, did you look into it? If so, did you find anything?
