  1. Hi, Received the following email earlier today:
  2. Me too... :-( They did say all along that it would be a profile badge and not a souvenir though... https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2016/06/enter-the-hq-duck-dash-a-global-trackable-race/
  3. According to Geocaching.com email: I quite like having profile badges so that's OK but it would have been nice to have a souvenir too...
  4. So the race has finished... How did your ducks do? I had 50% success rate: HQ Duck Dash - Mr Quackers (TB7AK90) made it to an IGD event in Germany! Yay! He's now back traveling again 😀 His wife however didn't... HQ Duck Dash - Mrs Quackers (TB7AK9D) is still currently sitting in a cache in Sweden... Does anyone know when we find out the results? Will there be some charts or something?
  5. Like others - I suspect you mean your profile page rather than your general statistics tab so... MyGeocachingProfile.com and Project-gc.com are two popular ones. Both have all the options to display the things that you list in your question. I use both... Plus other things... I'm a statistic geek!
  6. Err... No thanks. For us, the reward is getting out, getting some exercise and finding some Tupperware or funny magnet things... It's competitive enough for us with the statistics, county completion maps, FTF races etc. And our interactions take place face to face at events - not by hours and hours on a PC. I have no desire to "level up" or advertise my day out to all and sundry. Also I think it would create ability for cheating the system to take place, it would kind of ruin all those puzzle caches that others work so hard to create and we work so hard to solve!! PS I'm not an old school cacher resistant to changes or am only using a GPS like a previous poster said people who didn't want this were... I have and use a smartphone at the moment but it's got so many limitations... so we are getting a GPS after almost 500 finds...
  7. Think I’m doing relatively well then… My 2 were released in Leicester, UK on the 20th July and are both still travelling though I doubt that they will attend an event on the 20th but I remain ever hopeful… There’s no events being held near me so quite relieved that I have no responsibilities to take a HQ Duck Dash TB to an event… They’ve gone some distance too! HQ Duck Dash - Mr Quackers (TB7AK90) My link is currently in Spain after going from the UK to Germany beforehand. HQ Duck Dash - Mrs Quackers (TB7AK9D) My link is currently in Sweden!
  8. Hi all! Having recently returned from a trip to the Isle of Man, I see that there's no souvenir awarded for caching in that country! Does anyone know why not or if there are plans for this to change? Isle of Man, whilst being a Crown Dependency, is not strictly part of the UK so should have its own independent souvenir in my opinion... Especially as the Geocaching.com statistics page categorizes it as a separate country within Europe! :S Thanks! SoggyMoggy
  9. Hi Kunarion, I like the idea of those - would you mind if I did something similar in the future? Am I able to purchase tracking codes anywhere so I could make my own TBs - do you recommend anywhere? Thanks, SoggyMoggy
  10. Hi all, I have a TB that was retrieved from a cache but it then went quiet with no logs whatsoever and its been almost a year now... I've emailed the cacher who retrieved my bug, but I sadly got no response (perhaps his/her circumstances have changed and they no longer geocache, who knows...) I have marked the TB as missing but does this remove it from the retrievers inventory list? I'm worried that by marking the TB as Missing, it no longer appears there and wouldn't be able to trigger a reminder to them that they still have it by appearing on screen/in their list if they began geocaching again... Thanks in advance! SoggyMoggy
