  1. I would recomend Wherigo if you want to stick to Groundspeak.
  2. Depends on space, if it is a big logbook I would write your full name, small logs just initials.
  3. Personally I would go for the cheaper one, if you can take pictures on your Smartphone.
  4. It is possible, personally I like my numbers to be accurate so I don't do it.
  5. With SWAG,if you take something you need to leave something of equal value, you can take Trackables and not leave anything as long as you move it on in a reasonable amount of time, I would be very happy if I could take $100 from a cache
  6. They are a common part of the game, for me about 1/25 caches are DNF's.
  7. No program, but if you put it in a local cache, another will take it and hopefully move it on further away.
  8. A visit should not be inactive, I only keep a TB for a while if I am travelling far away within a month.
  9. I would wait a little bit before marking as missing.
  10. Is it not possible for Groundspeak to block his IP address?
  11. Lots of new cachers confuse "Needs Archived" for "Needs Maintenance".
  12. That's not scheduled till next Thursday. Just to clarify that I (Pup Patrol) was not the one who said that about virtuals. It was a quote from another forum member in a different thread. Anywhoo, my point was that the HarleyRebel seems to start a bunch of "discussions", posts a lot in other threads, but seems to not want to clarify his original post of this thread. Lots of people are making assumptions, but I think HarleyRebel knows full well the difference between a souvenir and a piece of swag in a cache container. B. Ok I was trying to stay out of this to avoid more anger and ranting but I guess I can't much longer, yes I did mean an online souvenir and wanted to see what other people think, but as I can now see alot of people are against this and so am I now. All I asked was what you thought, and I got the whole rant about it for asking a question, don't get me wrong I like seeing other people's replies but not a rant fest! Thank you to all who replied (nicely) as I do enjoy reading your response!
  13. When I press the create new cache page button, it goes back to the home page, this is seems common with alot of people, any ideas??
  14. It is ok, as long as you take from the location, not a online mapping software.
  15. At the moment it is ok, they should wait until it becomes very hard to actually place a geocache before changing the guideline.
  16. It would be easier if there was an attribute.
  17. It is probably a cookie from another site.
  18. The website does not update straight away, statistics usually take a day to be accurate after logging the cache.
  19. Probably no solution, however learn which caches TB's frequently go missing from and don't place them there, there is a park near me and 9 tb's listed in the caches, none are actually there!
  20. Wait a little longer, if it gets to say 6 months, and other people have found the cache, mark it as missing.
