  1. Personally I would just release it, you bought the trackable so you might as well release it.
  2. Personally I like them, but they do sometimes take ages to do.
  3. And if you want you receive notifications and messages from fellow users make sure it is set as primary.
  4. Just prove to the park ranger you have permission, which you do!
  5. Just edit the log, and delete the photo.
  6. If it is a good conatiner, and well maintained it should be fine, most I have found are ok!
  7. Most geocachers are good people, there should be no problems, just don't post a trackable code or the cache location.
  8. Also make sure you don't post a picture if the CO says no spoilers in your logs please.
  9. Have set them up yet? If not go to http://www.geocaching.com/notify/edit.aspx. If you have set them up already have you got the corect coordinates in the "From what coordinates would you like to base this search?" section? That might explain why you are getting notifications from a far away city.
  10. You can always get the official geocaching app with a GPS on IOS, Andriod and Windows.
  11. You can ask to adopt the lising, just message the CO.
  12. If it is not far away you can keep the same listing, if it is only temporary, use the disable option, not archive.
  13. You could also attend events to meet other geocachers.
  14. You can search for caches near your location and press the blue ribbon to show the most favourited caches.
  15. PQ without events, and then press the last found button.
  16. About 30 feet, but tree cover can make it bounce all over the place.
  17. There is no rule you must cache loads, just do it when you can!
  18. For me, long, scenic walks, caching with friends and family, and awesome containers!
  19. Reviewers do not un-archive caches just to be adopted, you will need to create a new cache page and generate a new GC code.
  20. If I find something in a cache like food or a lighter should I leave it in the cache or take it without a swap to remove it as it should not be there.
  21. Don't let that put you off contacting them, some CO's might really need your help with maintenance, you will get some people who never reply but I have seen stories where people have not cached since 2001 and come back! So there is always a chance they will reply, and let you adopt the cache to make the community happy!
