what's the advantage of a colored screen? Sounds like less battery life and a higher cost.

Will the Meridian accept a 128MB memory card? And is it possible to download that much? I have heard rumors supporting both, I would like to hear from someone who has tried this.

Has anyone had any experience with the map 76. I have thought a lot about which gps i should buy. Is there anything negative i should beware of with this unit.

My opinion is the sport trak is the better buy. I don't consider the electronic compass or the baro. alti. to be worth the extra money, but the yellow sport trak for less $ does the same with the advantage of the quadra-helix antenna. Another plus of the sport trak is it's WAAS capeable! Some say Magellan is not user friendly, but not so they are just as easy as Garmin.
