  1. I have a GPS V and compared to my GPS 76, Magellan Trailblazer XL and my friends ETrex it has extremely good satalite recption. I use it both in my Jeep and as a handheld in the woods. It performs perfectly in both situations.
  2. here is the site I have, there are many, that shows the setup for the camera and gps... http://www.ja-gps.com.au/cameragps.html
  3. Kodak has a camera that with a special hook up allows the connecting of a GPS to it. The benefit of this... When you take a picture the exact coordinates are written onto the bottom of the picture. I was just wondering if anyone has found ways to do this or something like this using other digital cameras.
  4. OOPS! Hit post now before i really wanted to. Anyhow, the theory goes that the happy cacher who find R2D2 will log him on the wheresgeorge.com system, and after awhile he will get some distance on him. It's worked adequately well so far, and is certainly a very cheap way to do things. Tell me wwhat you think! You can visit the wheresgeorge page for R2D2 at: http://www.wheresgeorge.com/report.php3?key=65b26fe9df8230b5cc0455ee19d9ebbb&entcnt=0 Or you can visit the little hompage i set up for him at: http://www.geocities.com/ESFKids/R2-D2/R2-D2.htm Thanks for responding, positively or otherwise! 5. I may get a lot of flak for this from MANY people, but here is what I have done: Merged a wheresgeorge.com dollar bill serial number with a travel bug sort of feature. This is how I did it: My little R2D2 action figure has a tag attached to him explaining wheresgeorge.com and how it tracks bills. On the back it has all the relevant information (serial #, year, denomination) that is required for it to be logged.
  6. On a whim, Dave of caching team ESFKids went out and did a quick sketch of a dog. It can be seen on the GPSdrawing site. Since then I've learned a lot about the way my little eTrex gathers and stored tracklog points, and my next drawing should be much better. Tell me what you think! Oh, and I love the idea of having a multicache draw something out. That would certainly add a new element to the whole experience, and be great authentication.
