  1. reflection upon one self is the first step of healing.. well done, here, take these 2 AA pills and you will be fine!
  2. corrupted? well, adults having a problem with nudist beaches seem very likely to have a major problem and maybe should seek professional help. if they have, their kids should be taken away from them for sure. only sicko' adults with corrupted minds, can think of kids (usually they are the first to run around naked, wether "nudist" or not) being corrupted! BTW, i've never seen any kid being born all dressed. so being "naked" is being they way we were to begin with..
  3. i have had a faulty disc for topo CH, called, sent it in, couple of days later i received a new cd. kept the "old" registration-nr. all for free. but of course from garmin switzerland, of course the cd was broken from the manufacturer.. but hopefully garmin will replace it for you with no costs..
  4. with maps on card, you cant plan routes on your computer. if you buy city navigator nt, you have it all on your computer and have the possibility of putting it on your 60CSx as well. but not with the card alone.
  5. how do you call this game in english? group of kiddies sits in a row, the first one says something in the ear like "gps", the last one in the row shouts something like "bush for president!"? isnt geocaching supposed to be a little bit fun?
  6. i have just prepared my first cache to be hidden! since its a family-thing, i thought mostly of the kiddies: a lego-bionicle, a bracelet, earrings, two teddy-bears, some rubber-bracelet-thingy with brasil-flag on it and a set of 4 (fresh!!!) batteries in a ziploc.. of course everything brand-spanking-new in factory-packaging. if i was a kid, thats the stuff i would want to find! stuff between 3 and 6$. all the cache has maybe cost me 30$. i havent cached much, still i would want to "give something back". all in a lock&lock-tupperware so it doesnt get wet or damp. yes, there is a pencil and logbook in it too.. still have to figure out where to put it, but i already have a pretty good idea about a very pretty spot. up on a hill, a small restaurant and a wonderful outdoor-chappel. kind of the place where i would love to get married. if, ever!!!
  7. buy the dvd! so you can also use it on your pc, like for creating routes. then download the maps to your gps. if you have preloaded cards, you can only use 'em on your gps. coolest case i've found so far BTW, congrats on your purchase! just bought one myself, its a real cool toy..
  8. i wish there was more tennisballs in those caches, then i could leave the search to my dog: "go, search the ball, search it!". one minute later login and dog happy..
  9. heck, i just burned all my blankets, they are sooo dangerous! thank god you guys pointed me to that.. much better sleeping on a bed of nails, without all this blankets..
  10. Yeah, I mean, just how dangerous CAN a blanket be? If you upset him he might set his guide dog on you, that would be dangerous. well, as you can see in my avatar.. if have one of these "dangerous dogs". but let me tell you, its not the dog you should fear, you should fear the owner.. and since i am a nice guy, some people probably will say otherwise (not only, but also because of the dog), no-one has to fear me nor the dog. we get avoided pretty often tough. but as kids are, they usually run not only me over, but also the dog. i have to admit that she doesnt like kids too much. but if they approach her nice and calmly, she lets herself get petted. if not, she might grawl and f*** off. actually that just gave me a great idea, i will attach a travel bug on her necklace, so only people with the right state of mind can "log her"..
  11. This is where commonsense kicks in........................ yeah, true, i am sure that one stashes their kitchen-knives and corkscrews some place where they almost cant reach them, not to speak of their kids. which will probably be some time of day unssupervised in the kitchen..
  12. and the mayan calendar happens to end just then! brothers and sisters, this is the end of earth an mankind. if you want a trip out, join me and my church, my alienfriends will fly you out of this mess! simply contribute a tenth of your savings and earnings to following bank account: UBS XXX-XXXXXXX.X, zurich, switzerland. ah, dont forget to send me in your emailadress so i can give you the coordinates of where the mothership lands..
  13. FORE.......actually. If someone shouts FOUR,nobody will react correctly. what are you supposed to do then? throw yourself to the ground, cover up your head? that will definitely get you thrown out of the club, because of you having messed up your outfit!!!
  14. i always happen to find these dangerous, sharp pointed pencils in caches, i will remove them next time i'll happen to come across one.. not that one will poke it in the eye of another!
  15. There is a limit on the number of tiles that can be loaded - You're more likely to hit it with topo than others as they tend to cover smaller pathes - what was the tile count for that lot? 2'025 and you can only upload about 1.7-8 gb on the card. that is normal, you never get the whole lot on your storage..
  16. nothing you really have to worry about, says something alike: "is in seefeld in tirol (so called area), a nice place to visit, easily accessible in summer as in winter, nice view on seefeld (must be the name of town)" hope that helped! cheers from switzerland!
  17. cannot really give you good advice on your SD-card. but for buying things online, if you use a bit of common sense, look around, even on ebay, there are some good deals you can make. if you go for ebay, check the sellers history, for how long they are up, and what they have sold so far. you wont really be disappointed i think.
  18. hope you get well soon john! i was on a golf course geocaching, that somehow got me really nervous thinking of being hit by one of those things..
  19. AFAIK it should not affect it. drives, just like floppy discs, store data magnetic, like the audio- or video-cassettes (good ol'days gone..)! SD-cards have a flash memory. those are not the magnetic type of storage.. but if you have 100+kg magnet, i still would not garantee it would not affect it. altough it shouldnt, since there is no iron (FE) in it!
  20. doesnt that one only turn on when you "find" something? meaning, you have to navigate to some waypoint and the arrow will show you the direction..
  21. in fact, i did have a problem with my topo-software. the cd was kind of bad and would not load. but garmin switzerland was quite cool about it, they replaced the cd and now it works just fine. no additonal cost, except sending it in to them. to encounter something like that, probably the chances are one in a million. but nevertheless, it can happen.. but as stated, now everything is cool..
  22. NOT without the lightsabre.. get real, everyone wants WHAT THEY WANT, no matter what marketing departments think WHAT ONE WANTS..
  23. was that BUMBUM going offroads from africa?!
  24. heart of europe, heart of switzerland.. glad to help you out.. and discover a new geocoin..
