The blue ring comes attached and should stay with the TB tag. I got mine today and will drop it in a cache soon. My UFD TB has a goal of getting to Moreni, Romania.

Got mine today! It wants to go to Moreni, Romania. Before I drop it in a cache, I am going to take a picture of my daughter holding it. She was diagnosed at 7yrs old with type 1 diabetes.

Based on what I have seen with other UFD TBs that have been placed....Unite For Diabetes stays the owner, you have to "grab" it to put it in your possesion before placing in a cache. From there on out, its the same as any other TB....

I searched and found out there are 3 headed for Fairfield (the city next to us), 1 headed for Suisun (where I live) and one headed to Tulare (My home town... for Nutlady possibly???).

I have placed the cache on my watch list.... one of these days, I will try to talk hubby into going to that one. If your TB is still there, I will pick it up. No promises on when I will be able to make it though!

And I think I know what P stands for too....since someone slipped and posted something they probably wouldnt have if they had understood what was going on.....

I got my Scorpio coin just a couple of days ago - they're nice. My only disappointment is that I wish the icon on the website was a scorpion rather than the generic zodiac thingy. When I am finally able to have my personal coin made, it will have my scorpion (tattoo) as the icon...thats the plan at least!

I may have to go take a peek at the local Red Wing store, since they carry the Vasque brand. The last pair of good hiking boots I had were bought just before I got pregnant with my daughter (she'll be 9 in April). My feet were never the same after that and I just havnt found another pair that I really liked.

My 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with Diabetes alittle over a year ago. For the last two years we have participated in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes and plan to continue walking every year til there is a cure! I am requesting my TB tag now! Thanks!!!

I am clueless when it comes to types of cables and such. Would the Garmin Serial to USB cable work with the basic yellow etrex??

I put my list together and I think I am getting all but one item on it!! A few things should be here before Christmas and at least one will be here just after... A new house (will still be renting, but its a house! We move in Jan 1st!) An El Diablo hiking Staff (wont get this one for Christmas....maybe in the spring) A PDA for papreless Caching (Hubby just won this on Ebay yesterday, should be here before Christmas, I hope) A scorpio geocoin (Hubby won one on Ebay just an hour before I got the invoice for the two I had requested and thought I wouldnt get....so I actually get 3 of these! YAY! They should all be here before Christmas as well) All in all, I think I am making out pretty darn good this year!!

Southern Ca has Disney, Hollywood, awesome beaches and surfing, desert... Northern Ca has Mountains, skiing, Alcatraz, gold country, lighthouses... Central Ca has mostly agriculture...Fresno has Raisins. Tulare County has corn, oranges, cotton and cows (dairy mostly). I am sure Nutlady can chime in with more from that area since she still lives there. So many directions we could go with this coin and so little surface space to work with!!

Wish there was another way to pay other than paypal....
