I just got a Mio 550 from http://www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk. They told me about the GPS problem, and said that Mio have recalled all faulty stock. So it took a cople of exfrtra weeks before my Mio 550 arrived, but the no-stock issue is sorted now, and my Mio 550 works fine. I'd recommend it.

We like puzzle caches; you get a greater feeling of satisfactoin when yo solve them (and lots of frustration when you don't, of course).
