  1. Hello, I'm looking to place my first underwater cache. I ordered a sturdy lock & lock from cachingcontainers.com (I know from experience they hold up quite well) and was wondering if the lock & locks are 100% waterproof. Second of all, I want to glue it to a brick but in my researching for 100% waterproof glue bonds I haven't found anything, so I'm thinking that this system might not really work. Does anyone have an easy and cheap yet completely waterproof system for submerged caches?
  2. All eTrex GPSs are waterproof, so good luck trying to "kill" it.
  3. I have just recieved a new Garmin Etrex 10. I have a few questions: When I go into the settings menu, there is an drop-down menu that says: GPS GPS-GLONASS Which of these should I choose for the best accuracy and battery life? There is another menu asking me if I want WAAS/EGNOS turned on or not. What is this and should I turn it on?
  4. I recently purchased a Geomate Jr GPS and Update Kit. When I went on the Apisphere website to update it, it said that the updates support both Mac and PC. So I downloaded the launcher, only to find it only works on PC. How do I get it to update using my mac?
  5. I just placed my new trackable (TB42FK5) in one of my caches. Because the tag is a Pirate-themed tag, the default icon (the picture that appears next to the name) for the trackable is a pirate. I would like to be able to change this, since the pirate tag has nothing to do with what I attached to it. I understand how to add pictures to the trackable page, but how do I change the icon?
  6. I don't even have a real gps yet... but I will get one eventually. I just use an iphone. Because I didn't upgrade to ios7 or ios6, I first downloaded the old Geocaching Intro app. That app is way better than the new geocaching intro because the old one limits the amount of geocaches you can find. Once I had the old one downloaded, ios7 came out and I got it. But I just never updated the Geocaching Intro app. While you can only find Traditional 1 to 2 stars difficulty terrain, most geocaches are within that range (at least where I live). For all other geocaches, I use MotionXGps and hand punch in the coordinates and print out the info of the cache. So for me, geocaching costs $2.99 (that was the cost of MotionXGps) which is way cheaper than the $10 geocaching app and it is more accurate.) So downgrade to ios5 for a bit and download the old geocaching app, then spend 3 bucks to get MotionXGps.
