  1. Cezanne, you won't win. They just don't want to help. Strange.... Unh.
  2. I seem to be getting a number of poor logs e.g. Found with XYZ, or Found It! I've decided to delete these but do send a polite message saying why it's been deleted and they're welcome to resubmit with a log that includes interest. I'm sure that this will have been mentioned before on the forum, but as the geocaching season here in the UK is now in full swing with a number of new users it cannot harm for them to know this.... Unh.
  3. Still no action about changing to North West England rather than Northwest England, it just isn't good grammar and wrong. But what hope do we have of anything happening? Unh.,
  4. This is for Edit Listing Admin. There are typos in the Edit Listing/Select State or Province (sic) for UK areas. In his list above, Deceangi has them correct - e.g. North West England, whereas you have it as Northwest England. In the States you may have Southwest Airlines, but there is no such word as Southwest in the English language when describing an area, it is South West. Please correct asap, ta!
  5. I've had WAAS on for awhile now and not seen any reduction in battery life (with a Venture Cx). The accuracy here in the UK is much better with it on with accuracy down to 2ft rather than twelve or more. If I'm getting WAAS signals it shows up on the satellite display as little Ds on each satellite signal-strength bar (you have to have a reasonably clear view to the south). For me I've found WAAS ON as a total benefit with no negative points. I guess older GPSr may have problems one way or another though.
  6. Here in the UK I tend to do a mix of Tesco's party selection (quite a choice when you look) and small bits and pieces I've picked up at car boot sales, which can yield some interesting items for next to nothing.....
  7. From the Lidl e-newsletter: Mahogany look. Holds 24 coins in 2 trays. Size (cm): 25.7 x 22 x 4.2. So looks like they'll be available all over the UK.... Enjoy!
  8. Have you looked at the Venture Cx? This is exactly the same as the Legend Cx but is not bundled with a USB cable or microSD card. Therefore it is quite a bit cheaper than the Legend Cx. I got mine for around £160 incl. P&P. Most people have a USB cable from a digital camera, and it's cheaper to buy the size of microSD card you want than letting Garmin bundle one. Hope this helps.
