  1. Has anyone ever met someone while out caching and gone on to date or more? Yep... that's how I got started with caching... Has anyone ever met someone and left their significant other to be with their newfound cacher friend instead? Nope... I was the one that got left for someone else... but it was the BEST thing that could have ever happened to me… cause if it didn’t happen I wouldn’t have met the love of my life!
  2. Wow... very cool! Way to go!
  3. I'm so sorry for your loss...
  4. way to go!! here's to another 200!!!
  5. Well when my Honey came home yesterday from work, he told me about it and we've been playing with it ever since... that's just REALLY cool!
  6. Well he didn't have it in a cache for me to find, but we had been out caching all last week in Vegas... and at the end of the trip... he asked me to marry him!!!! And I said YES!!!
  7. Yeah just this past week, while in Vegas I was doing that... So many people around, it was hard not to! But in some of the local parks, I've been known to do it there as well if a jogger comes passing by.
  8. As someone who has lived in Central Jersey and lives in South Jersey now, I see the differences between the north and the south. We are like 2 sometimes 3 different states. When I was growing up, I was in a Youth Group that was made up of the state of NJ.. and being from the Lakewood area, we were considered South Jersey. Anything past Trenton was considered Philly. Since going to College in South Jersey, I have a whole new understanding of NJ.
  9. They don't bother us in the forums. Don't they (South Jersey Geocachers) have their own seperate forum/website? I was patronizing a local Wawa in southern Jersey last week and they thought I was from another state?! Go figure. Yeah there's another site for South Jersey, but some of us are here too.. :-)
  10. South Jersey here... not too far from Philly and Cherry Hill!
  11. Oh man... you should have said something earlier... a few of us went out on Monday... yeah today was a MUCH nicer day... oh well... looks like you hit a lot of the same ones that we did out in the snow! :-)

    Strange

I was wondering the same thing last night while I was logging my caches from the day... I thought maybe it was just me... I noticed that the TB icon was still showing in caches that I had picked up. I ran a new query this morning just to make sure, and the ones I found yesterday weren't showing up now... So at least I know it wasn't just me!
  13. Well I myself have found 2 caches of this type, and didn't have a problem shelling out the 25 cents to be able to find the cache. As for the commercial aspect, yeah they are making a profit, but it's 25 cents... it's not like you had to go in to some local store and buy something to be able to get the cache. As for caches in more commercial locations like Disney or Six Flags, when I was down at Disney, I did find all the caches that were there at the time. For me, it added to my trip. Would I have planned my vacation around just hunting the caches in that location? No, I planned the vacation THEN looked to see what was around. Since I was already going to be in the Parks, then I could find the caches. But I wasn't going to go out of my way to find them if I wasn't already there. But the way I see it, is with Geocaching we all have a choice... we can choose to find a cache, or just pass it by and go on to something else.
  14. Well that's just too cool!
  15. Way to go!!! Glad to see you're still caching in a new home turf! Keep up the good work!!!
  16. Well each cacher has their own opinion about what GPS to get... I have a Maggy... most of my friends have Maggy's... but I have friends that have Garmin too. It's all a matter of what you are looking for in a GPS... and yes Radio Shack has them. When ever you want to venture out and try it with a GPS let me know! I can usually break away to do a little caching!
  17. Well there are some nice easy ones in Center City that you could probably do without needing a GPS... Mostly Virts, but at least it would get your feet wet! I'm only about 20 minutes outside of Philly on the Jersey side. Let me know if you'd like some help!
