  1. Anyone figure out how to add an image to the lab cache description area? I've tried standard html but all it does is post the actual code.
  2. We have an event scheduled for the Upstate of South Carolina, GC4G5R4
  3. I believe the path used by XP is totally different than the one used by Win7. Not sure what you are doing when the error message pops up, but it sounds like a file that GSAK needs isn't where you said it was during the setup of GSAK. Win7 puts the macros folder for GSAK in an entirely different location than XP did. Do a search for a specific GSAK macro by name and see which directory it is located in. For my GSAK installation on a 64-bit version of Win7, my GSAK macros are located here: C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\gsak\Macros
  4. I don't understand that getFormatedTime() function. It asks for the time in UTC and then applies daylight savings to it, but UTC by definition doesn't have daylight savings. I suggest this: function getFormatedTime() return os.date('!%H%M') end When I try your function, it returns the following: Thu Sep 02 01:59:51 2010Thu Sep 02 01:59:51 2010 I would have thought it would have just return the Hour and Minutes, but it is returning much more than I wanted. Is it normal for it to return that much info? How do I format my value to compare to the returned function value?
  5. Okay, got a question about using the "getFormatedTime()" function. I typed it in exactly as shown in your image. I'm using GMT for my times and the park hours are 11:00 to 01:00 GMT (7am to 9pm Eastern Time Zone). Since I'm using GMT, the transition from 23:59 to 0:00 GMT really screws me up. Has anyone noticed that 1:01 GMT actually gets returned by the getFormatedTime() function as 11? Is there anyway to keep the leading zeroes at least in the minutes portion of the time? Would really like the time to be returned as HHMM instead of the current HM format. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  6. I was surfing the web this morning and noticed that PilotSnipes had issued a recent update to his macro, I quickly downloaded it. I'm running a Nuvi 660 and was wondering if anybody else was using this macro on the same series. What I'm experiencing is the GPX file that is being uploaded to my unit is using the "$waypointnamesmallscren" option instead of the "$waypointnamewidescreen" option. If you are unfamiliar with the code, use the GSAK Macroeditor and open up the macro file. On lines 43 & 44, you will see where the macro calls out two different screen sizes. On version 1.3 of the macro, it was using the widescreen option, but on the latest 2.0 version it looks like the smallscreen is being used. How you can tell which option is being used is look at a cache on your Nuvi with a long name, if it only shows the first 7 characters then you are using the smallscreen version, but if you see 14 characters then you got the widescreen. I searched the entire 2.0 version macro and could not find anywhere in the code where it was using the "$waypointwidescreen" call out. I did find one instance where you called out the "$waypointnamesmallscreen" on line 290. I don't understand the entire code, so I could be completely wrong on how it is supposed to work. Just wanted to find out if anyone else is seeing a difference between version 1.3 and 2.0. The macro works great anyways, thanks for all the hard work you put into this project.
  7. Don't worry, I found a work around for my issue. Thanks anyways.

  9. I've added a line to the macro and it seem to work with version 1.2, but once I downloaded 1.3 and modified it with the same line POI Loader would tell me my TourGuide GPX file was invalid. Here is the line I added in red and I made the original line above it a comment: Can anyone tell me why it is not working? Thanks.
  10. Thanks pilotsnipes for the quick response and fix. It now loads to my 660 without that annoying error message.
  11. Hi Pilotsnipes, thanks for the great work in putting this macro together for us. I just installed the macro and it seems to work for waypoints numbering 860 and less. When I try to send the data with POI Loader with more than that (don't have a figure, probably over 1000), it gives me the following message: The file D:\GPS Stuff\Nuvi Data\Nuvi Custom POI\Geocache TourGuide.gpx is invalid. Do you want to want to continue? When I click on the "Yes" button, then it says: No valid data was found in the specified directory, therefore no data was written. If you need further assistance, please call Garmin Customer Support. I running GSAK 7.2.1.40 with POI Loader 2.4.2.0 and loading it onto a Nuvi 660 Software Version 4.30. Any ideas on what might be happening?

  13. I got a couple of the Mailbox v.2 geocoins today.
  14. I'm heading to GW5, so it would be great to have these puppies inhand. Thanks.
  15. What program are you using to do your artwork? If you are using photoshop, you can shrink your artwork to fit within the template frame. I am using photoshop... I guess the problem is trying to put a rectangular peg in a round hole so to speak...photoshop is not a strong point for me... designed this with bryce & poser Glad you were able to find a program to use for your design. In Photoshop, you can go to the "Edit", "Transform" and then scale down your artwork.

  17. Made the font a little bit bigger and made it bold. Now what do you think? Shrunk it down a little bit so it doesn't take up so much space. Also I moved things around and made a second one with bigger fonts. I think that the second one will be easier to read. BTW which martial arts do you study? Forrest, my husband takes Tai and is a Master now! I'm just a wanna be ninja. I did study aikido a long time ago. Would love to get back into something, but I lack the motivation. I'm still pretty good at sneaking up on caches though.

  19. I would be interested in 25-50 or possibly more if the price is right. Is there a template available to submit our prelim designs?
