  1. Not the first to notice this...as on 07Oct2012...these two logs... by MustangJoni and by JoyfulNomad Find # 3606 @ 2:14:00 PM.; then again...this log... bydejesky on Sunday 28Oct2012... So, to throw down this cache...one needs to replace with in kind cache container...as per Hemlock! Thus, a new challenge to continue this oldest cache...one must acquire such a similar container, with a replacement Log book #6...as per this replacement cache log...by Chronevia I'd recommend bringing several batteries for a hammer drill along with a charger...along with a tripod equipped with a winch...to lift the plug...meaning...one wasn't able to attach such an attachment which allows such removal...thus the need for numerous replacement batteries to facilitate such removal of fore mentioned concrete plug... I may or may not head towards such a throw down cache container...as I've limited knowledge about same...first of all I'll need to acquire a such re-chargeable hammer-drill to facilitate such placement of said anchor...also must fabricate such tripod to lift out said concrete poured plug! Alas...much planning...along with recent Intel as to such composition of fore mentioned concrete plug... Sincerely Ken
  2. Yeap, I'm a johnny come lately...nice concept for a mag...yet why! I'd rather see a blog, which provides the creator a revenue stream via the traditional ad click/view results, which saves trees, allows viewers free access, as long as they tag-a-long via ad clicks...say like once a visit, if daily...if less frequently, they're locked out, until they've clicked sufficient different ads since their last visit! Which, depending the value of content from said rag, should be easy provided your users see a value to stay in touch. Otherwise, it would be a complete waste of time for everybody! Ken aka imyz1 P.S.-I make no bones about it, being a Life Mensa Member...either you're enthralled or repulsed, I don't care, that's your problem not mine, doesn't matter to me either way...I'll continue being whom I am no matter what you think. All I can say is that I test well, what can you say about your abilities!
  3. Just wondering if the tactic of placing TB's/coins, into an archived cache, is considered a faux pas, or an acceptable tactic to skirt that annoying 14 day reminder from Groundspeak. I've noticed numerous cachers using this ploy, mostly for their own TB's and coins, yet some that include those very treasured and desirable Jeeps, and various other milestone coins. I'm guilty of this tactic, as in my local area, there are those pesky micros/nano caches, and caches misstated as to size...also, the archived cache I use is quite near to my abode, so those added miles reflect actual miles traveled between caches. I recently cleaned this inventory out, while attending an Event Cache, except for one coin, which I’m planning to take a picture by its name sake, plus its goal is to stay with in a certain area, which banned GeoCaching. When I find an appropriate cache container, I retrieve a TB from my archived cache then drop it into these appropriate cache containers. Thus far only one TB owner took exception to this procedure. I'd like to post this as a poll question, yet this being my first post, I may not have earned that feature yet, or I simply can’t see it... Who owns TB's/coins... TB/coin buyer Greater Geocaching Community I feel that once the TB's/coins are released, I don't own them, I'm sharing the experience via the logs into and out of caches. Ken
