  1. Wouldn't this display be awkward for keying in text? You would be constantly switching between looking in the eye piece and looking at the keys. Edited - I gotta learn how to spell
  2. Thanks for the link DonnaG. I found one about 10 km from my house and visited it this morning. My GPS12 could only manage to get within 8 metres with ten minutes of averaging even though the EPE was around 3 meters. How soon we forget the days of SA and it just goes to show you that the first E in EPE stands for estimated.

    Mapping Software

Which mapping software do you use the most?
  5. Looks like this has been fixed with a new option on the login page. There's now a check box for logging into the forums as well as the main site. Just tried it and it works like a charm - no more looping

    Digital Mapping

Which digital topographic mapping do you use the most?
  8. Me three I've been caught in that loop several times myself. I'm wondering if there's some sort of time lag for the system to recognize that you're logged in?? Mike
  9. Has it been doing this all the time? Some newer cars have a metallic film in their windshields which blocks GPS signals. Your GPS could be getting an intermittent lock from signals coming through the side windows and then losing it again when you change directions. 10. Check out GPS Trackmaker at http://www.gpstm.com It should do what you want for free.
