You can also wait a considerable amount of time to activate if you want to. As a matter of fact... I've waited a couple years from purchase to activation before.

It may not be what you're looking for but KeenPeople.com has a couple. Edit: to add another link

It would be a few extra steps for you but I see no harm. If you include why you didn't grab it, it may prompt the owner to evaluate the hitchhiker's mission too. Of course, I have found that if you wait long enough, someone will have a contrary opinion.

After you make your log entry go back to the cache page and look just below your entry. There should ba link there: "[upload an image for this log]"

Digging in the page source, I thought the color code was EBEEF0 but I think I see a little shadow on mine too. All those codes make you cross eyed sometimes. -
Did you just get the graphic off the gc.com website? All the ones I've seen are pretty small. I guess I'll have to do some digging.

Question: Where did you find the TB graphic for your shirt so you could blow it up that big without being pixelated?

Hmm... sounds like a good idea. According to this it appears that it should work on the 60cs. You could give them a call at 1-800-800-1020 and ask.

Errrmmm.... what is a "WAP device"? This is off topic but... WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol. Many of today's cell phones are WAP enabled. gc.com now has a WAP interface that will allow you to look up and log finds via your cell phone (or other WAP enabled device). Here's a little more info about cg.com's WAP interface.

I have thought about doing this myself but I think my wife would flip out.

I just got a 60CS last week. Love it so far.

You may want to try Novus. They have different compounds to choose from depending on the depth of the scratch. For example Novus 1 is mainly for cleaning and protection.

No this can actually be a pretty useful tip when you experience dns issues. XP caches dns lookups so it doesn't have to ask your primary dns server every time you go to a website. Unfortunately it can also mean that it can cache bad resolution information. This still may not resolve your problem but it will not hurt anything to give it a flush. To get to the command prompt: Start -> run -> type in cmd and hit enter. That should bring up your command prompt window. Type in ipconfig /flushdns
-
Are you using WinXP? If you are, you may want to try to flush your cached dns information. open a command prompt (dos) window type in: ipconfig /flushdns close command prompt window Then try downloading the waypoint(s) again. - GeoIA

I too have been wanting to do this conversion. Is there anywhere online that will do this? I'm still looking.
-
That's a good proactive approach.
-
I think you could go ahead and log it. The owners could always remove your log entry if your answers were way off.

I would say do what seems significant to you. I, for one, look at it this way... If I hadn't signed up for gc.com, I wouldn't have found my first find. jm2c - GeoIA

Clyde, I used the new USB support in v4.1.3 with my Garmin 60cs today using both WinXPSP2 and Win98SE. Was able to upload and download. And talk about fast! Thanks for your hard work. - GeoIA
