  1. Hehehehe. I was team-mates with Serenity Now at that event but unlike them, I was a fool and left the event on my watch list. I had over 1000 emails from GC through Hotmail when I got back home a couple days later. Yikes! I've had major problems getting GC email from Adelphia so I switched to my Hotmail account for GC mail and all is well now. For some reason my Adelphia account was delaying GC email for days which really sucked.
  2. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem... All of a sudden I am not receiving any email from geocaching.com through my adelphia email account. No PQ's, notifications, nothing. I switched my email options to send everything to my Hotmail account and it's fine now. However, I'd prefer to use my regular adelphia email account. Any suggestions?
  3. I'm up to 252 DNF's now. Do I win? Actually 3 or 4 of them are for a cacher that refuses to log his DNF's so I logged some on my own caches that I know he should have. I guess I should also mention that he screwed up one of my caches but I didn't know about it for awhile because he never logged a DNF to let me know that there may be a problem with it.
  4. I generally write long logs, but when I find a great cache or have a great experience I write an even longer log. Here's one of my favorite caching experiences yet at a cache pretty close to the already mentioned Dobby's Home Cache... Meeting an Elk up close at Elk County Cache
  5. I have always remembered this log. The cache is "Dobby's Home" in PA and the two cachers were going after the yellow Jeep TB that I started off. It's definitely not funny but a truly scary experience involving a pack of coyotes... Driven2 at Dobby's Home Cache
  6. I'd like to know just what order the bookmark entrees are listed in now. I have numbered some of my bookmark lists but they are no longer in order.
  7. There's another list of the top cachers that I haven't seen mentioned here yet... World Geocaching Leaders This is probably my favorite as it includes lots of stats including your average number of finds for the last 30 days and since you started caching. It also lets you create graphs of your finds and projected finds. It only lists those with over 2000 finds though.
  8. It's actually just the woman and not a team. Her husband goes along with her once in awhile but it's mainly just her. She usually goes caching with other cachers and I've gone with her a few times myself. Let me also add that she's VERY energetic.
  9. That's a good question. When it freezes all I can read is "Retrieving File 269 of 3931. I don't know of a way to find out which cache page it is.
  10. Anyone run into this problem with Plucker?... I have one GPX file (Buffalo Caches) that I ran through spinner and it freezes Plucker everytime I try to "pluck" it. Every other GPX file I have runs fine. It freezes on the same file (#269) every time too. I've tried new PQ's and spun them with the same problem once try to pluck it. I have a feeling there is some troublesome code on a cache page somewhere. Anyone have any suggestions on a work around with Plucker. I don't want to use other software so please don't suggest that. Is there a way to have Plucker skip a file as it plucks a directory? I can't find it in any docs if there is a way. Thanks in advance!
  11. Ditto... No PQ emails have arrived for me either today. All were processed but not emailed.
  12. Woohoo! Way to go Lynn! I knew it was coming up quick, but you got there faster than I thought. I'm proud to have cached with her a couple times and had a blast. She's the only active geocacher in PA ahead of me, but not much of a chance to catch up... unless I can find a quick 6,000+ caches. Wow! Hope you get back to Erie for some more caching soon. Plenty of new caches for you to find up here again. Congrats again!
  13. Even better try this caching group... Kinzua Area Cachers They are located near Jamestown NY which has a soapbox derby track real close to this west coord. A few members are actually from the Jamestown area and could easily help you out with this cache.
  14. Thanks to all of you. I was afraid it may get "old" after awhile but I still have a blast going on my cache trips. So maybe I'll see some of you out on the geocaching trails this weekend. I'll conclude with the saying that I've become known for while caching... "NEXT!"
  15. I'm getting the same error when I try to add a new bookmark and I only have 2 lists so far. It's does work if I add it from the bookmark list page though, just not from the cache page as already mentioned.
  16. Followed by a long list of debug information. Wasn't it 10 bookmark lists per user? I'm running into this same problem. I have one list with 54 entrees, one list with 2 entrees, and a third list with 13 entrees. I can still add entrees to the biggest list but I get that error when I try to add anymore to the smaller lists? I even deleted the smallest list but still can't add more to the one list. What's up?
  17. I've read some info on this subject but wanted to double check before I ordered my 60c. I already have Metroguide USA that I use with my Legend. I've read that Metroguide 5.0 will not allow autorouting on the 60c. The version that I have is 4.01 and it sounds like this version WILL allow auto routing. Is this true? Thanks!
  18. One can't help but notice that there are some "old timers" that still refuse to see other points of view about this "Sport". It's their way or no way. I've been geocaching for well over two years myself and welcome the changes. I may prefer some of the hiking caches myself but the cache & dash finds are fun in their own way. But some cachers will never see it this way. That's just the way it is. As far as I'm concerned, bring on all caches. I'll look for them all. It wasn't that long ago when I had found every cache within 50 miles of my home. You can't do that if you only look for the easy ones. Thanks to the growing number of cachers in my area, I now have over 80 caches to find in that same radius and I love it. Bring them on! Btw, if someone would place a new cache somewhere near where this archived cache was placed, I'll bet it would soon be found many times. The subject cache was placed back in 2003 and was probably already found by most of the local cachers.
  19. I remember that one well. It was one of the first caches I found that day and I was glad that I had spare shoes in my Tracker. This was before I bought knee high boots just for swamp caches so I just waded through the swamp in sneakers. I was soaked but I found the sucker. The funniest part was when I got to the small foot bridge which was supposed to get you over a particularly wet area. Unfortunately the bridge was completely surrounded by water (Pic of the bridge). Not that it mattered since I was already soaked. I do remember reading Lep's post and how he just walked over the frozen swamp. Phhhht!
  20. My prayers are with you and your family, Lynn. I always enjoyed caching with Lucy and hope to do so again. I'm heading to Washington DC this afternoon but was wondering if there is an organized search effort set up that individuals could join? Where did this occur?
  21. Merry Christmas to all you fellow Geocachers out there... Tprints Christmas Greeting Keep on caching!
