  1. Just happened to notice while reading logs on caches I'm planning to go for. Seems Fizzy busted the 500 find point. Good job! If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  2. I, have found 3 disabled caches. One was due to the fact that I was in the park after another cache there and this one(Pushing it) had me very curious as to what was going on. I did not post it though until George said it was ok to do so. I also found one of Mikes because I was there thinking about putting one of my own in the area. Then, Ron showed up with same idea an he did just that. We then went to see if Mikes was there just to pull and return it if it was. Then, I was looking for a place to hide a cache in Westly and had no idea another one was there. I just happened to check nearest waypoint and saw that I was parked .14 mi from one. I went to investigate and found Georges "Where I 1st looked" I had NO clue that it was disabled. The coords had been in my gps quite some time. Lots of reasons why someone would go find a disabled cache. Perhaps a page had been printed out weeks before hand. I did that before getting the PDA. That caused me to spend a lot of time looking for P F fishing hole only to see that it was gone after I got home If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  3. Well, I climbed over. 2 saw me do it. Perhaps the youngest there should have gone? Anyways, I do have a tower climbing safety harness if anyone wishes to borrow it. Maybe I'll try the razor wire next. If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  4. Maybe thickness isn't only factor. Perhaps length matters too. Geez, what were we talking about???? If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  5. Yes, it does. I even used the 1st event I went to, where I met most of the CVC chaching group, as my #100 find. If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  6. True. His Un-porky arm reached it no problem. My porky err short thick arm could barely get to it. Just enough to touch it and knock it loose. I think that situation has been corrected though. Yep, some folks just have extra caching abilities. Like someone who easily placed a cache up high in a knot hole where this stubby guy could barely get to it. 7. LOL. That's too funny. Take George and have him find some special machines. That will get em. Find my Chopper bug and take it along. It needs to head that way. [] If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  8. 2 new caches out today. Keep watch. One is really big, and I made it fairly easy to get to considering the area. I just realized that it's .10 mi from another cache. Hope it gets ok'ed. If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  9. Sometimes, the cacher never goes to places seen by others and doesn't know what lies ahead. (or below in this case)Jerky stuff is actually very close to street level. I never went down under the bridge to check out the area. Perhaps I can write that into the description to stop future seekers from heading into that area. If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  10. Congrats LO on the 300 mark!! If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  11. Any chance that it became a puppy play thing? If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  12. Garmin makes one. The iQue 3600. And, one can be yours for only 589.00 bucks. If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  13. Been a very long time since I took a trip in a helocopter. When I was in the AF, I did communications equipment repair in the Minuteman III launch control modules. WAY underground. Got to fly out to many of the bases in the Hueys. Was a blast.. If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  14. Someone say it ain't so! Anyone? No? Ok then, I will. IT AIN'T SO! At least not as of today. I've been looking for a cache planting spot there for months now. Found one this morning. Also, no missing caches in Santa Nella. I checked on both and they are fine. And while I was doing that, I dropped off another one. Also, the comment about dropping off a cache where the jeep can't get to it. I almost hate to ask, but just how much is the helicopter tour going to run us??? If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  15. Absolutely. The more the merrier. We need some nice new caches up in that area. Preferably one that will not cause me any more snow blindness. If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  16. Good. Plant some more over there. I'll be over at the Grotto on Sunday weather permitting. Hopefully, others can make that date too. I'll let those that want to go(Pat - Matt) know for sure by Saturday. Others? PS: For those that knew and sent me e-mails of support, I thank you and she's doing just fine. For those that didn't, my youngest had to have some surgery yesterday. And, she's fine. Just won't be able to tag along on any cache hunts for a while. If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  17. I guess $25.00 wouldn't be bad if it includes use of the jeep. But, would gas be extra or included in that figure? What about the snacks? If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  18. Here's a comment I got from a log on my Cupertino cache. User comments: "WOW. This cache was the smallest cache we ever saw. Also, we had a bit of trouble finding it." Just a decon container. And, my hint was a complete spoiler. Someone will have a thrill if they stray into CVC territory. That 1 cache has turned out to be very fun. Lots of logs. Many from 1st time finds. If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  19. Hey, now that I think about it, it would seem that I froze and got soaking wet for no reason then. Wonder when it disappeared? Strange that it would be stumbled upon so soon in that spot. Hope I know where the new spot is. I planted another cache today too. Not planting a lot, but I am makeing them fairly big. Also, that Spinner is great! Love being able to tell what the cache is by looking at the waypont. And, the plucker for the PDA is awesome! Too bad I tossed 20 bucks at mobi only 2 weeks ago. Anyone else seen the new Garmin PDA/GPSr combo unit? It's slick! Slick price too. :eek If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  20. Change the coords tonight. Heading that way tomorrow. Maybe see what whiteouts condition is too! If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  21. Well, that's about normal. I spent the 1st 4 days of the week driving past there. Today? I gotta head up to Sonora. If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  22. Want to thank Pat and Jamiee for trying to help me with the Flower Clock. All the planning was for naught and it didn't happen. However, I'm grateful for the offer and effort.. Rich If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
  23. Congrats on the achievement. As much as I like geocaching, I wouldn't bike 3.7 miles up 800 feet for one. 30 years ago maybe... Coords were off 60 feet? That would have been horrible to go that far and not find it. Glad you did. If a little Brute Force doesn't work, try using a lot!
