  1. Thanks for your replies, and sorry for posting in the wrong area (I thought 'getting started' might also include getting started on night caching...oops no matter... Now for some fun getting assorted bits and pieces together and making one up!! yay!
  2. I'd like to set up a night cache, but can't find any guidelines on what/how to set them up, and any practical ideas that might be helpful eg safety, reflective products, good themes etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction for this info? Thanks! Bo & Bronnie
  3. We're having this same problem intermittently - it's now a couple of days since we were advised 'it will be a couple of days', so we're wondering how long now? We're going away soon and want to print out some caches!! Thanks for your help. (any work-arounds for it?)
  4. Hey guys,Thanks for your help and ideas,,I will have another try with these settings and see what happens.cheers and thanks again...
  5. Hi there,,,these are the settings that I had set up on the gps but when i put in new coordinates it didnt take me to the exact spot about fifty or so metres out,, i have since been told that these settings are for new zealand marine maps,,, so it has all puzzled me....cheers Bo You always need to match the datum of whatever map you are using, so if you are using an NZ datum map you must set the GPS to that datum before pluging in the maps coordinates. Most all maps will reference what datum they use somewhere on the map. WGS 84 is a global datum and the newest in use, so generally that is what is used at other times. For the correct datum you can select the datum (hit enter when it is highlighted on the 12) from a large list of choices in the 12. You see it. It is New Zealand something or other.
