" Well ya go down by the ol irving station thet isn't there anymore cuz the nephew of the fella that owned it burnt it down o account of the fact that his buddy used to go with the daughter of the owner and they got in a big fight one night,, must have been the shine they go from washisname from Glacebay but thats a different stoery,, turn right"
  3. Tidal power would be the answer I was looking for "The available tidal energy potential for the Minas Passage, Nova Scotia is over 1 GW. Harnessing just 15% of the available tidal energy resource base would generate enough electricity to power about 120,000 Canadian homes (assuming an average of 1.3 kW per home)" - Electric Power Research Institute Feasibility Study of In Stream Tidal Energy Conversion Technology in North America

  6. THe best place to go to find lots of info is http://www.atlanticgeocaching.com/ Free to join and lots of great cachers all over the region check out the user forum for events, hikes etc you should also check the geocaching listings for Nova Scotia to see if there is an event happening nearby go to the event and have a great time.
  7. Please don't use Google Earth to place a cache ... it is a notoriously inaccurate source of position data. I've seen it be out by 300 metres in some places I am not I am using it to get the corrdinates of an urban building as my GPS was off by 30 meters Same problem I would not use google Earth to check any coordinates from. I would find a clear place with an unobstruced view so your GPSr will get a good position

That is it White Hill (highest point of Cape Breton Highlands, and highest point in Nova Scotia, 46° 42' N, 60° 36' W) El 532m so it is still a hill Your turn RAC777
