  1. Wow, my first day on the forum and I made it into the compalaint thread. I feel so honored. While it is true that I am in need (my wife tells me it's a want, not a need) of a GPSr, the reason I stated for not already having one is MONEY. I seriously doubt that UMC will want to sell me his Garmin V at a price I would be interested in... I am holding out for a Legend, and should be able to get it soon. There are a few Caches within a ferw miles of my house that I am thinking of looking for even before I get my GPSr, so maybe I'll be part of the "in" crowd soon. Matt

  3. OK, maybe I was a little too sensitive. I am not associated with Magellan, But I do know the people who organize both of the events in Laughlin NV that weekend (the Adventure Rally, and the Performance Rally). I was introduced to GeoCaching throug a post to one of the Rally forums (www.specialstage.com , I am not associated with this website either), and just though the Adventure Rally might be a way to intorduce some of the people here to my favorite sport, Rally. I hope to be finding caches soon (and placing a few too). Matt Lovell -less than newbie

  5. I just thought some people might be interested in this. It is true, I have not logged any caches, but I have great interest in this sport. It seems like a great way to take the family out and see places you might otherwise never go. I do not have the $ to buy a GPS® right now, but rest assured in the coming months I will, and you will see caches logged shortly thereafter. If you have a GPS unit to loan me, I promise to log a cache the day I receivie it curiously, how many caches do I have to log before I am "accepted" into this community?

  7. I thought some of the people in this forum might be interested in this contest: http://magellangps.com/en/contests/JAR/index.asp Something else to do with a GPS... It is a great event, and you can win a Sportrac Map in the contest from the link above. A link to the event site is provided below. http://www.rallyusa.com
