I have become very discouraged about sending out coins AND TBs! This past Dec. I put out a TB for my 9 year old, who likes basketball, and there has been plenty of activity. Then I thought about my other TB and coin (put out for my 18 year old). I hadn't seen any activity lately, so I checked where they were last seen and to my surprise and regret, geocachers at each site said they had not seen the coin/TB. Neither of these had been out too long before they were gone! I think about all the time I spent putting these things together before they were gone! Short of sending out crap or defacing your geocoin, I don't think it will stop anyone from taking these things out of caches. Unfortunately, it seems to be human nature and it upsets this "proverbial Pollyanna"! Yes, the thought that someone would steal from a cache never entered my mind until I started reading these forums! Is that naive, or what? Geocaching is such a cool hobby/game, why must someone ruin the fun?

I have a question about an avatar. . .I have noticed that some geocachers use specific pictures from domain characters/books/ads, etc. Is there a copyright infringement when using these? Also, I have tried to download a picture from printmaster and it wouldn't let me do it. Can you tell me why? (As you may have noticed, I am so computer illiterate)

I like image #2 and #3. I love circular writing. I also like the glow in the dark moon and stars. I'd definitely buy a couple of them!

I like this coin, too and would buy a couple. I also like Glenn's idea.

I am still interested and will send an email. It sounds alike a lot of fun. My problem is I am not that great with the computer! I am still trying to figure things out. I'm slow, but I'm still having fun (at least most of the time).

I like the coin and I like the idea that it is generic, so it would appeal to all scout troops, and not be specific to any particular troop. I have one son who is an Eagle Scout with all three palms and another son who is a cub scout. We have enjoyed all of the scouting programs. As an adult, I look at scouting as an activity that will definitely carry over into adulthood. I would definitely be interesting in buying some of them. Please let me know when they are out. I have bought 2 other scout coins. In fact, the Hoxie coin was the first geocoin I bought.

Wow, Fluttershy! I love everything you come up with. It never ceases to amaze me with all of the cool ideas you come up with! You are amazingly creative. I just hope I will be around soon enough in the forums to get one of these!

Thanks for all of the updates, I really appreciate being kept in the loop, so I don't feel like I've been passed over, or that you have forgotten to ship out my coins. I just appreciate the fact that you are very concerned about the coin and you want what's best. That's fine by me. Just keep us posted and let us know when they are fixed and ready for shipment.

Wow!~Finally here and they aren't right. Bummer. I, like the others, wouldn't mind one way or the other. It's been so long, I am not sure exactly what I ordered. The coins are adorable and I can't wait to get mine in person.

If they want to be added it's fine by me, but I'm down to about 5 name spots left. Wow! Did I see that you had 5 spots left? If so, I would like to be counted in. I have a short name! DEGAI I sure hope it isn't too late, I keep missing all the cool stuff. I even tried to post a note this morning, but it wouldn't let me post, I just kept getting error messages. So I gave up in frustration.

Does a coin have to be designed on the computer to be made? Can't it be drawn and just sent to a coin maker? I am thinking about making a personal coin and haven't done any research on specifics, yet. I just thought you could sent a picture. For those of you who have completed the process, what have you done?

If group 2 isn't full, count me in. If it is full and you do another one, please contact me. I was on vacation when all of this first started and I couldn't believe I missed all the action. . .including coin give aways!
