The way I look at it..... You have to have permission from the property owner to place a cache. Therefore its not littering. Since its not littering, it's still owned by someone and not "abandonded". With this reasoning, your "friend" is stealing and should be reported for it..... My $.02

Erickson.....would you mind giving me a quick set of instructions on how to use GSAK and then upload it to the GPS. I dont mind doing the work to translate each page if this will work for me. Thanks.

I have a friend in Arkansas that I just got hooked on caching. It would be really cool (and make her happy) if you sent her one so she could do her first solo cache with it......let me know. I live in Germany if you would like on put here too.

I do this already (print them out translated not PDA). Its a pain and I'm trying to get away from it. I guess if there isnt an easy way to translate and save to my GPS then I wont be paying for a membership.....Oh well.

Thanks for the reply. I know as a basic I can only do certain things. I can however click the "send to GPS" button and get the file uploaded. I have no problem paying for upgraded membership, except, I live in Germany (military) and cant read or speak German. Most of the caches here are in German. Is there a way to convert to English? This is the ONLY reason I havent upgraded yet...... Thanks for your time to help me figure this out.

Hello all. Been caching for a few years now....joined in 2006. This is my second post, so I guess I've been a lurker for a while now...LOL. My hobbies include Scuba Diving, RC cars, boats, trucks, planes, and helicopters, I'm starting Paragliding lessons this summer, and of course Geocaching. I'm US military stationed in Stuttgart Germany, and will be here for 2 more years..... Anything else just ask!

I just recently got the Colorado 400t. So far it seems to be a nice unit. The only thing is, I cant seem to mass upload the cache files. Is there a way to do it and keep the information on the cache? I know how to upload the .loc files in mass, but not anything else........it just takes to long to go through each file seperatly and upload them.....HELP??? Thanks. FYI....it the GPX files I'm talking about....I think. Its whatever file it sends when you click the "send to GPS" button.
