  1. Thank you so much for your reply Bluedeuce! We purchased an Etrex Legend, it should be here tomorrow, I have my backpack full of things to leave in the caches we will hopefully find, and we are ready to go! My 8 yr. old son can't wait!! (ok me either, LOL!!) I am continuing to research on the GC site for all the info on GC'ing that I can find....can't wait 'til this weekend! NO RAIN! NO RAIN!! LOL!
  2. I just received my Diabetes TB today. Trying to figure out how to do this TB, it's my first one and I want to make sure we do it correctly! LOL! Been searching on the Geocaching site all day and finally found this info about the Diabetes TB's in the Groundspeak Forums; I followed your instructions, entered the "tracking #" and clicked "Grab it from somwhere else" from the drop-down box. I guess the next step is to place the TB in a cache, we are going out for our first GC adventure this weekend. Please let me know if I have done this right so far, the tracking # in my TB is (*EDITED*), what happens after we place the TB?? Forgive me....Extreme Newbie here, (but very excited to go Geocaching with the family this weekend!!) ANY first time GC/TB tips would be MUCH APPRECIATED!!
  3. Hubby is going to KILL me!! LOL!! I couldn't stand it, I just bought the Legend from AMAZON.....OOPS!! LOL!! GEOCACHING HERE WE COME!!!! **Thanks for the advice TrailGator
  4. Since the Street Pilot is a Garmin, I was thinking about an Etrex Legend ($118.00 at Amazon) for when I purchase a handheld, I know there are a million opinions on WHICH to buy, the aforementioned cold sweats at the thought of ACTUALLY making a purchase....... Opinions?? **Remember, I am in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM tech-savvy...
  5. Well, so far I have only figured out how to enter physical addresses into the c330, hubby says that it may be possible to enter coords, (via downloading directly from website), but I'm not sure. The c330 IS fascinating, (of course, that's not saying much coming from my easily electronically-fascinated self, LOL!!), and is very user-friendly for auto routing. I am hoping that if I can convince hubby to go cache this weekend, that he will become interested, thus nesscesitating another GPS purchase.........
  6. Thanks so much for your reply!! We are going to try to use our Street Pilot to Geocache this weekend, (it does have the option to connect it to the computer, wonder if I can download cache coordinates from this website to it??) Again, forgive me for the dumb questions, I am trying to get my husband interested in Geocaching! I am going to keep watching the "Garage Sale" Forum for a deal on a handheld GPS, but will try to make-do with our Street Pilot for now! **If anyone has ANY tips for us "NEWBIES" please post!! THANK YOU!!
  7. OKAY....PLEASE FORGIVE ME.... I discovered Geocaching back in the Summer of 2006. I have put off buying a GPS because (obviously) I am electronically/technically challanged and I could not decide WHICH GPS to purchse, breaking out into a cold sweat many times at my local Walmart's Sporting Goods Department. Summer became Fall, and now it's COLD outside, so I was going to wait until early Spring to resume my GPS shopping. Well, Santa brought me a Garmin Street Pilot c330. Due to the above mentioned inability to deal with electronics, is it POSSIBLE to use my new toy for Geocaching? (Santa had heard all of my wishes for a GPS unit EXCEPT for the part about it specifically being a HAND HELD GPS LOL!!) *AGAIN...I humbly beg your pardon for my question.....
