  1. When are you going to ask to have your gc.com caches unarchived?
  2. When they see a need, they will add one. From my viewpoint, approvals happen just as fast as they always have. Nothing is causing me tothink anything needs to be changed. My caches are generally approved by both CT and CA, nearly a 50-50 split is my recollection.
  3. Half-Canadian and Scooter the Wonder Dog I think this is a clear winner??
  4. Buy an inexpensive magnetic compass and set the GPS to the same. Now you can use the compass as an extra help when you get in proximity of the cache, and if you lose it, at least it was inexpensive... Remember, almost all GPS will only show your heading when you are 'moving'; although they will show the bearing regardless. This is when a compass is handy.
  5. Quick answer: you don't. But have a look here if you like: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=46317
  6. I think www.waypointhunter.com is still available if someone wants to start a waypoint listing site.
  7. I gotta say, this one is an interesting read...
  8. Wow, at this point, I'll take logs from last year... There has got to be more logs than this.
  9. It has been done... once, or twice around my area.
  10. Sure. Why gnot?!! I can give it away when I'm done with it too!
  11. MrGigabyte's DNF log for '...but never coming to a knowledge of the truth'
  12. Log Of The Week July 11 to July 17 I'm looking for submissions for 'Geolog Of The Week'. Have you read a cache page log that made you laugh your butt off? Post a link to it here...
  13. Hey, sometimes nostalgia is good. I know some people call me the necroposter, but really, I think I only dredged up 3-4 topics at one time to earn that distinction... But if everyone was doing the same, every day.... Hmmmm.............
  14. Without suggesting to you which brand to buy, I would suggest you pay careful attention to the antenna. Get one with a quad helix type. And maps are good.
  15. http://www.bcgeocaching.com/modules.php?na...viewtopic&t=337 That is one heck of a pile of stuff recovered.
  16. You could always create your own niche in the geolocational entertainment industry, I think movingcache.com is still available.
  17. I suspect this must be a residential area? But just in case, I SAW a black bear on the road 30m in front of me while I was caching somewhere recently.
  18. Prove me wrong guys. (edit: Prediction made. Now let's move on.)
  19. I think there will be more than six candidates when it comes down to the official nomination process tonight. I have already expressed elsewhere that I do support some of the people within what I have dubbed 'teamfive'. I do hope for a balance between the two extremes: ie: I would like to see a couple interim directors and perhaps three new directors elected. (edit: To clarify, 'teamfive' means nothing derogatory! Simply put, there are five candidates who have identified themselves as a group, or 'team'. 'They' being CuriousGeorge, Peregrine007, geodug (pronounced 'goo ee dug'), _CanadianBacon_, and GeoScavenger...)
  20. Trouble hit, right from the get go. Not even days old yet (to the public anyway) the interim BCGA directors were hit with stuff like this, over and over again. Patience was returned. And then some more. But it was never enough. What will ever be enough to satisfy the highs these self seeking entertainment junkies crave? To at least one of them, 'it's just a game', including the forums. (At least, 'it's just a game', until the ball is in their end of the court.) We've learned now that MarinerBC has quit geocaching altogether because of the heaps of garbage that were thrown upon him, simply for being a BCGA director.
  21. 'Endured the hassles' is an understatement. The fruit of the labour these 5 individuals put out has likely been stolen by a band of pirates, led by a very malicious, dishonest and undeserving wretch. There will be more to this story after the AGM later today. BC geocachers who became wary of joining the BCGA because of these frequent and explicit personal attacks may have just unknowingly handed the keys to the real criminal.
  22. I'm lost as to what you think the underlying meaning is. Can you answer me this: Should the ORIGINAL STASH TRIBUTE PLAQUE cache have been archived in the manner that it was? Why or why not? Should it have been archived a different way? Is it TEAM 360's fault that the cache was archived? Why or why not?
  23. TEAM 360 'could' close this topic anytime.
  24. Cache is unarchived. Can I suggest we close this movie now?
