  2. I think I have solved my problem. As someone else in another post suggested I installed the Map Send Topo software in XP compatibility mode. For those like me not so fluent in computerese here is what I did Insert topo installation disk into drive (When the autorun prompt pops up hit cancel to stop the autorun) Click on COMPUTER (Windows Vista) Highlight disk drive with topo installation CD Right click and select OPEN Highlight SETUP (the application) If you can't see which file is the application switch your view to details Right click and select PROPERTIES Select COMPATIBILITY tab Check box next to RUN IN COMPATIBILITY MODE (WINDOWS XP SERVICE PACK 2) Hit OKAY until you are back reading the files on the topo installation CD Double click on SETUP (the application) to begin the installation Hope this helps. At least until Magellan comes up with something. Good Luck.
  3. Can anyone tell me how to install in XP compatibility mode? Thanks for your help!

  6. I'm using a PALM ZIRE 31 for caching. Its very simple to use not many "bells and whistles" and has a colour screen. The icons are still small but I believe you can enlarge them. I got it on Ebay for about $80 CAN. including shipping. I'm using mobi reader on it and its working great.
  7. Tried to install magellan mapsend topo software on new PC running windows vista. Get an error at 80% complete "can't install drivers error -2" Installed fine on old PC running windows XP. Suspect Vista problem. No help on Magellan site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. I was just wondering if there is a way to download the cache description (those nice paragraphs where the owner gives a bit of a bio on the cache) I know you can download the pdf with all the information but I was wondering if there is a way to download right to my palm so I don't have to print the sheets. It would be super if I could take that bio with me without the paper.
