The GPS315 will be loads better now you have it set correctly. I have an Old GPSIII that I keep as a backup to my 60cs and its just as accurate in the open.
Welcome from me also
Your OK till you hit 12 caches then your officially hooked (it used to be 10 but that's inflation for you )
Like others have said most GPSr will do the job but the newer ones tend to get better reception under the trees. As you will find out, when the GPS says your there don't expect to look down at your feet and see the cache (that wouldn't be fun would it? ) So just look around and think where would I hide it...
Welcome again and hope you have some fun :D
I also mark them as "missing" but that option has not always been there, dont think you would get a new TB graveyard approved now.
I have had a TB turn up after nearly two years missing....
I hand hold all mine in natural light.. they are not all perfect but 9/10 look ok.... If your camera as iso setting try using 200 or 400 iso to increase the shutter speed.
My list of 157 coins logged
You don't always have the time while out caching to set up a tripod but practise makes perfect
When I plan a day out caching I don't start by looking at the names they are just dot's on memory map if I am passing near a dot (trigpoint or cache) it gets done, I may then filter out anything that may take too long.
But variety is the spice of life and you have to try the bad to truly appreciate the "good".....
Welcome from me also. Just shout up if there is anything you need help with, there are some very knowledgeable people on here and then there are people like me
Hope you enjoy your time caching, its a very worth while pass time
