  1. Yup.. there is a FB page that is sharing codes and how to spoof locations. Sigh.
  2. It seem to be a backdoor way of allowing Virtual Caches again. I know a few people that were trying to come up with something different and all plans are on hold now.
  3. I'm puzzled by the new guidelines in an email I just got: Physical objects or containers are no longer allowed in the Adventure Does this include such things as historical markers, information kiosks or anything else you actually look at? I was working on a Night Lab Adventure... I guess i can't even put up reflectors?
  4. its a pain in the butt adding notes now... so many page transfers and refreshes just to add solved puzzle coordinates to a bookmark list.
  5. Do you have any direct evidence that the creators of these Locationless ALCs were specifically pandering to armchair loggers? Do you know for a fact that the only reason the creators made these locationless was to inflate the numbers of armchair loggers? If you have no evidence, don't sling accusation at the creators. They aren't for you. That's fine. There are 3 million other caches to look for. The current selection of Locationless ALCs aren't going to rock the foundation of geocaching. If they aren't in the spirit of what Groundspeak wants, there will be a change to the guidelines, and no more will be available. Many people argue that powertrails are against the spirit of geocaching too.
  6. Just saw this in their About Section: "The tracking codes, or other information, found on this page were obtained legally through personal experience and are shared here for the benefit and enjoyment of anyone who chooses to avail themselves of this free service." I want to know what personal experience they had.
  7. The problem they aren't grasping is that I didn't give the site permission to post the code of something I now own. Yes the code is stored in some database, but once I bought that code, its mine. Its like a car with a VIN code. That VIN lives in a database somewhere, but it is my car.
  8. yeah, most "publication" announcements I see are through various Facebook groups.
  9. As far as I understand it, there are two physical mazes. One that has been traveling Europe for awhile and a new one that the organizers of GeoWoodstock 2019 built.
  10. I'm hoping to makes an appearance. Its supposed to be at the Midwest Geobash at the end of July. It would have to be a quick turn to take it down, ship it and set it back up.
  11. I can confirm that this isn't the case for the two coins I've gotten logs on. Both of which are sitting on a shelf in my office at work.
  12. I would also say the concept of BadgeGen is to blame too. Getting a digital badge for discovering so many TBs and Coins probably has driven a portion of people to inflate their numbers. I will admit, I did it once, when I saw the Travelbug Lady at GeoWoodstock in Ohio. I was chatting with her and was given a code with all her trackable numbers. I thought it was convenient, but that has been the only time I used a mass list. I've actually gotten out of a lot of discoveries, even at large events.
  13. I know people that haven't host events in years or people that have never host events that have applied. I would love to host one, since I actually host a few events a year, but I fear that if I get one, it will just be lost in the crowd.
  14. Nuts, I used the Right Click option all the time. It was handy to add notes before adding it to a list.
  15. There are reports of unactivated codes being activated to. Looks like someone is just using a random number generator to see if codes are valid.

  17. Yup. Pages definitely take longer to load now.
  18. Worldcaching, last I dealt with them, was Buyer Beware. Your millage might be different, but I had bad luck with them.
  19. I see everything, but portions of the website load slow. Win 10, Chrome 79, no scripts
  20. Nope... you have all the privacy laws that are kicking in to thank. Not sure how Groundspeak would make money off of cookies anyway.
  21. When it was published... I threw it on a bookmark list. I could see it on the "Search" map, but not the "Browse" map on the computer EDIT: just checked, still can't see it on the "Browse" map
  22. After going into the logs, I have 50 finds, 2 notes and 1 DNF. So the profile page is correct. I guess I never really gave the column "Last Log" much thought and always assumed the symbol applied to me, and not whatever happened after my log.
  23. From the rumor mill, so don't take this as 100% accurate.... the company was sold and the new owner is having trouble with the mint.
