Hey all, I just got goofed!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm in shock! I had a PM a couple days ago and the coin was waiting for me when I got home today! My first mystery coin!!!! I needed some cheering up, b/c I've got a big presentation on Friday and I tend to freak out a bit about public speaking. Being goofed has certainly improved my mood! Thanks Goofy Cacher!!!! I'll keep being goofy...believe me, it comes naturally (just ask my wife)!!

My mom is lots of fun. We enjoy geocaching together, but we don't get to do that too often b/c she's in Mississippi and I"m in South Carolina. However, in June I'll be moving to Louisiana and I'm hoping that we'll get a lot more time together then. One of my recent favorite memories is the day that mom outfished me....in a fur coat no less!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a hardcore bass fisherman and somehow the stars aligned, or misaligned, on a cold winter day, so that my mother managed to catch 2 bass to my none (I did manage a catfish). There is a picture, but I'm afraid that she might disown me if I post it!!

I haven't received my v1 sets either. I did just get an email stating that my order "was complete". I took that to mean that they probably shipped the coins recently. I'll post when I get them.

So, here's my rhyme, albeit a bit rappish: I'm DJSnarg and I've got to say I better see some turtles comin my way It may sound bossy, it may sound mean but if I don't get em, I'm gonna scream So flip me some turtles and if you do I won't hold my breath until I turn blue, I'll stop crying like a baby, won't whine, won't wail, just because I missed that darn turtle sale, cause my name is Snarg and that's for show, but my buddies still know me as old darn joe.

Trade even or up and there's no problem. While I might be able to resist an unactivated geocoin, there's no way I would be able to pass up a mystery coin if it showed up in a cache that I owned! I'd just leave one of my own unactivated coins to pay it back.

Got mine today and a couple of the Stars and Stripes version. These really turned out great. I'll see if I can get a photo posted soon. Thanks for the pick Landsharkz! I'm very happy with the size of this coin...they are a bit larger than I expected. I do have about 5 with some finish probs on the backside of the guitars. It looks like it has something to do with the glitter finish. I thought they were cracked at first, but it's just a difference in the enamel in those spots. If anybody's going to try and have some redone, fire me a message.

Sigh. Don't let it stop you guys from gifting and trading personals, b/c it really does promote good will. I know when I found an unactivated coin in a cache, I was giddy and it led me to leave a few unactivated ones in caches. I'm not sure that I would have been so quick to do that if someone else hadn't "payed it forward". At the time, I was brand new to this coin addiction and I thought that the owner had left it by mistake. I even contacted them to make sure that they meant to drop it unactivated. Duh...newbie! So, my point is, keep doing your thing and realize that 98.995% of folks treasure personal trades and mystery coins and would never pawn them off.

Maybe it's just a bad joke?
