    TB Race

I'm having problems regsitering on your website as it says "GC.com Username does not own TB. Check spellings. Please try again." My TB is TB27H4Z and my UserId is The Jones' Note the apostrope after the name - is this messing up your validation ? Any help appreciated. Brian.
  3. I use BlackStar on my Bold 9700 without any problems - manage to find 99% of the caches I'm looking for.
  4. Once you have a cache on your PDA's version of MM, right click (hold down stylus) to get pop up menu then select Goto Mark - this should give you a distance and direction arrow. My MM is version OS Edition 5.0
  5. My TB TB27H4Z : Brian's Yellow Porsche Racing TB has gone missing after being picked up by tui & fantail from GC1KJT8 : Lock your Gaol in Wellington on 1/15/2009 I've tried sending emails but they don't reply, it seem they haven't done any caching since the end of January '09 I'd appreciate it if anyone who might know them could get in touch and give them a friendly nudge to either place my TB in a cache or let me know they've lost it. Any help appreciated The Jones (England)
  6. I'm guessing you are using Memory Map and GSAK, a really useful macro is PUP Port which copies the caches you are interested in to MM on your Ipaq and makes them into links for HTML pages which it creates automatically. Regards, Brian (part of The Jones)
  7. The count of caches is shown now, but it is very out of date. e.g. my count is currently 281 and 35 but the Friends box says Found: 281 Hidden: 5 A bug ?
  8. Would it be possible to add the name of the cache placer to the Notification email? Example added in red below:- This is an automated message from Geocaching For GC1R4RX: Side Tracked Burscough (Traditional Cache) By Linedancers Location: Northwest England, United Kingdom 15.8mi S (25.5km S) Deceangi published Side Tracked Burscough (Traditional Cache) at 5/14/2009 Log Date: 5/14/2009 Published Visit this log entry at the below address: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...06-a4334d11cb26 Visit Traditional Cache Side Tracked Burscough http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...fe-b89a2a0ec1c3 Profile for Deceangi: http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=15...5c-7460b9ba4d15 Notification: New Notification http://www.geocaching.com/notify/edit.aspx?NID=37158
  9. My arrow disappears when I stop walking but reappears when I start moving again....
  10. Does an AA battery extender really work - will it charge a PDA to full power from a set of AAs ? Any info appreciated - my PDA dies after about 3 hours in the field.
  11. When using the Geocaching Maps page, you can click on a cache and a small popup ives you some useful information including Date Hidden. Would it be possble to add Date Last Found to the popup as this would be useful information? Thanks The Jones'
  12. Memory map has an arrow and distance facility, click and hold on the cache and select "Go To Mark" or something similar. Have you more details about your battery extender - does it work? I'm after one for my PDA. Regards, Brian.
  13. Great idea for a list! Here's a plug for our series Mr Benn near Blackpool. The Jones'
  14. So you can use Memory Map at the same time ? Try Port Splitter 1.2 available free from http://www.gpsmeter.com/index.php?page=portsplitter it allows you to split your incoming bluetooth port into 2 or more pseudo Com ports so you can have multiple applications accessing your GPS. I use it on my Loox 600 for RichesseGPS and Multimap but there's no reason why you couldn't use RichesseGPS and TomTom if you wanted (or all 3 if you have the memory) Hope this helps! Brian (part of The Jones')
  15. Whilst doing a bit of cache maintenance in Grasmere.... He was singing his heart out and didn't mind us taking pictures not 2ft from him.
  16. Some of my caches are really suffering with the rain we have been getting recently, especially the 35mm film canisters, can anyone recommend an alternative of similar size or some protection mechanism? Thanks, The Jones'
  17. Can't see the page on firefox scripts. I'm trying to find the one that display image thumbnails inline with th elog entry Brian.
  18. GOTO is cheating - you'll never learn your way around the sky.... I used my GPS to get to a star party last night then my manual telescope to look at Jupiter and it's moons (nearly as sad as hiding/finding tupperware in the woods....) Brian.
  19. I heard there was a bunch of wierdos out there who use their GPS receivers to hide tupperware in the woods - WHY???.
  20. I would like to say a public "Thank You" to Graculus for his help and patience in helping me get my cache series published. I now have a better (but not complete!) idea of how hard it must be and the work involved. Without people like this we wouldn't have a game! Many thanks, Brian
  21. I've tried emailing but not got any success yet. My Mr Benn series is a series which all need to be published together, there is a distance problem with some of them so the series shouldn't yet be available. Please can you set them all to unreviewed. Sorry............. The Jones'
  22. When viewing your friends on the My Account page it gives details of there last find date etc Can you add the number of caches they have found ? Thanks, The Jones'
