  1. As for storing my pics at GC.com, I tend to be snap happy and take hundreds of pics each time I go out. I don't think GC could hold all that....
  2. Last time I checked, CT will not price match an online store..... At least not in my area....
  3. IMHO, I think the best and only place is GPScentral.ca I have bought many things from them over the years and they are very knowledgeable, friendly and have excellent prices.
  4. When I go caching, I take hundreds of pics and have been storing them on Ofoto, but I wonder if there is something better out there? Where do you store your digital pics online?
  5. I would love to have one. I would love to see Insp Gadget holding my GPS (A 60C) and maybe finding a cache or holding a cache.
  6. Maybe I am misreading this a tad, but I can always get my elapsed time between track points. Is this what your looking for?
  7. Actually I remember this magazine came out many months agoa dn it was never updated. If memory serves correctly, it was quite popular at the time, but why no update I wonder?
  8. Strange. I have the Metroguide and Topo maps for Canada and there must have been a Full Install option cause I don't have to use the cd's at all. Are you saying the USa maps are different?
  9. I use Easy GPS for this. Works great with my 60C! http://www.easygps.com/download.asp
  10. Well I permenantly tattoed the GC icon on my right shoulder. What would that make me? A 20?
  11. http://www.twin-paradox.com/SEPDA.html I wonder if my GPS woulc connect to my PDA with this new toy?
  12. I realize this movie was a work of fiction and I haven't been able to see it yet, but.... Would a GPS work in a hurricane? Do I understand correctly that weather has no effect on the GPS signal?
  13. Sorry Ed. I was under the impression that you paid for a yearly membership and wanted to cancel it, which didn't seem to make sense, since I doubt you would get any money back from GC.com. I was unaware that you can pay each and every month. Sorry to hear about your child support payments being increased. I wish you all the best in getting this all straightened out. Once again, sorry for my comments, I was totally mistaken.
  14. It located my home about a block and a half away When did ya move? LOL
  15. I stumbled across this web site that talks about a universal address. I have never heard of this and wondered if anyone had seen or heard of this. I misunderstand that you can search by this universal address using a GPS or Streets and Trips, but I think it's a pretty neat idea..... http://www.travelgis.com/geocode/Default.aspx
  16. Why? If it's time to cut back I cut back all non essential expenses no matter how trivial. If circumstances change then I add them back in slowly. Well do I understand that the memberships are for a year? If so, I can see not renewing for next year, but not cancelling this years. Dunno maybe it's just me and my police mind. Like Judge judy says, if it doesn't sound right, then it probably isn't! LOL
  17. They offer a window suction mount, I am going to get one of those. The bag friction mount works ok but I had a window mount for my 76s and I prefer that. On the compass issue, Use the compass to get you to the general location then lift the GPSr to get the closest. I have the window mount and don't care for it. The mount dos not swivel from side to side, therefore it must be mounted right in front of the user. I did not like this at all.
  18. I was just thinking of something. Most hospitals have a place for the helicopter to land. I checked my maps and most have this symbol near the hospital. Could this be it?
  19. Did the 60C come with the Drivers? I bought the Metroguide Maps at the same time and it installed the USB drivers, but I can't recall if the 60C had it's own drivers....
  20. You can d/n the USb drivers here: http://www.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=413
  21. The only info I have seen there is the date and the waypoint name. Clicking on this just opens the edit waypoint screen...
  22. Has anyone noticed a problem with the calendar function? I've noticed that when I find a cache, it is supposed to mark it in the calendar, however it does not appear to be working properly. Yesterday I found 4 caches and nothing is listed in the calendar. 2 days ago I found one and (GCHVCW) and the cache listed in my calendar is GCFD03, which is hundreds of kilometers away in an area I have never been near. Anyone else notice a problem with this??
  23. hi Murph, I have had my 60C since the first day they were released in Canada and so far it's working great. I do wish the coverage was better in deep woods as it seems to lose lock, but all my GPS units do this. Are you sure yuor not in battery saver mode? Maybe that has something to do with it?
