  1. When I contact the CO of a cache from its cache page, the message always starts with "Regarding [hyperlink to cache page]: [name of cache]" This is very neat but I wanted to use this when I write a message to a cacher that did not find one of my caches. How do I go about that? Thanks, Antoon
  2. Tried to log a "drop" log for a TB that I have in my possession but on the geocaching.com site I can only make a "write note" log. When I use the app on my phone it works fine. Something wrong on the website? Please fix. Thanks.
  3. I'd say the app is meant as a replacement for a GPSr. Unfortunately a lot of users are using only their app and never log in on the website. So for those users I'd like to be able to present a page that they can use.
  4. I am working on a new cache and its cache page. It takes me a lot of tries before it comes out the way I like it. But that only goes for the web version. I have not found a way to check how that cache page would look like in the geocaching app. This can be a problem when working on a multi or mystery cache the info shown on the cache page is crucial. I think there should be a way that a CO can check the formatting of his/her unpublished hides in the app.
  5. This is an annoying issue as the stats generated by Groundspeak through the "My Finds" pocket query are NOT the same as the stats generated through GSAK after refreshing the database using the API. Properties of a cache should not be different based on the way the info is downloaded. I would suggest that this is a bug.
  6. I have been reading some of the profiles of fellow cachers and it is interesting what kind of statistics can be extracted from the logs. How to get to these high number of finds in one day? I have read some fantastic examples of 700 finds or more... (even more than 1500...!! ) You would think that if you cache for a full 24 hours, you'd have 24x60 minutes = 1440 minutes in a day. So to do say 700 caches, you would have to find one every 2 minutes. During these 2 minutes you'd have to sign the log and move to the next cache, some 200 yards away...? No time for food or bathroom breaks Any tips how to achieve this??
  7. I have an Etrex 20x. The easiest way for me is to connect the device using the USB cable and use it as an external drive. Delete (or move) any .gpx files from the garmin subdirectory that you no longer need and restart your device. The cache list is updated automatically. I dont use any other software to access the garmin and I have windows 7. EDIT: reading further down the list of topics in this forum, I realize that this may be a problem related to Windows 10....
