  1. Hey everyone, I got pictures of the coins from the mint. These will be available for pre-sale soon through coinsandpins.com. They will be minted in black nickel and polished gold. I will know in the next day or two the pricing for the coins and exactly when they willbe up for presale. I just wanted to share the pictures. Enjoy!

  2. 1. Participating - email sent 6/9/2008

    2. Nick/destination received - yes

    3. Outgoin coin mission details attached - yes

    4. Outgoing coin released in cache GC - Yes, it isTB2FQ82

    5. Incoming coin picked up - cache GC - not yet

The coin has been placed in a local cahce and the Giftee knows of it. I have not logged the coin into the cache because a coin thief has popped up in the area. I will log the coin in for correct mileage after it has been retrieved.

Also, I have not heard from whomever is sending me a coin at all.

I am sorry it has taken me so long to catch up on this. My coin will be released by the end of the week. It is ready to go.

  4. colors-1.jpg

Here are the colors. What do you think? For the 3D armadillo I am getting samples in antique copper, antique bronze, and one two tone with gold and silver.

Oh MY!! I love these, I cant wait until the samples come in and they go on sale!!! Great design!

  5. Sorry about the delay on my part with this mission, I am finishing my summer classes and buying a home, so I have not had much free time. I will get mine out by the end of the week and post the update here. Thank you for the reminder email.

  6. Its all about the journey. All my trackables are released with missions attached. Most head the right way, but there are a few that go astray. I have a "Florida Hitchhiker: that is supposed to bounce around florida, well it is currently in Sweden. go figure. Its still fun to see pix and read the logs.

  7. "A Geocachers Best Friend" sounds good to me. :)

I have received several emails about the grammatical error. I am unsure if the die has already been produced, if so it will stay as it is. If they can chance it I will have them do so. These will be pre-sold through coinsandpins.com. I do not yet have an exact date, but I would predict somewhere in the next 4-5 weeks, as it will take 3-4 weeks to get the samples in from the mint. We will use those to decide the metal finishes. Also, I will have an AE with a unique finish and some possible color changes.

  8. I agree with everyone who said this is cute! I love it!

One thing: On the back, "geocachers" should be "geocacher's"

I also think there already is a coin called "Gone to the Dogs" so you might want to look into that, just so there isn't any "coinfusion" in the future.

I realize the grammar on the back may be incorrect, but it looks better with the design, more streamlined. There are several geodog theme coins out there. I do not think there will be any confusion between this one and the others, at least i hope not.

  9. Hi, I am announcing a new coin from a design I have been working on for several months. This coin is dedicated to all the geodogs out there. This coin is near and dear to me as I love bringing my geodogs along with me on my caching adventures.Samples have been ordered and we are waiting on those to finalize our decision on the finishes. These will be available for sale at Coins & Pins. The colors are a mixture of hard enamel and translucent with texturing underneath the enamel. I welcome your thoughts.

PS - I have included a small cut out for those who are interested in attaching this to your dogs collar.

  10. WOOT! I won one! I gotta say though puzzle 41 still stumps me which is driving me nuts cuz I am usually great with numbers and puzzles. Care to share how it is solved?

Add the corners together and subtract 9: that is the center number.

At least that's how I solved it.

That works for 5 of the 6 triangles. The last triangle would be 27-9=18 but the center number is 9 not 18. Your formula seems to works, but not on the very last triangle. I love that this puzzle has me stumped.
