I will also have a few of the royal, earth, and gypsy editions for sale for anyone who missed the presale. Drop me an email if you are interested. Off topic, i noticed the format of the forums has changed. Is everyone experiencing this? I am wondering if it is the antivirus i put on my computer.
  3. I cannot find where to retrieve the activation codes for tadpole379 2007 coin. Can someone point me in the right direction? thank you.
  4. I am looking for one of these coins. I have my fantasy butterfly available for trade when i get them in a few weeks.
  5. A little added bonus for these coins (and my future designs) will have the prefix KG (my initials). "DO" for my screename was not used because the O could be confused for 0. ~Krys
  6. Honestly I am not sure. I have done several pathtags and a geotag, but this is only the second coin I have designed. My first one barely hit the 250 mark so I am very excited to see this design was so well received. Maybe some of the more experienced designers or even the minters would be able to give a better perspective of the numbers.
  7. I am loving all of the pictures so far, I hope there are many more to come. This year I was Cher

  13. Update: the revised samples are in. I really like the way they turned out. As soon as I find out when the presales start I will post here. Gypsy Edition Royal Edition Earth Edition Artist Edition - this will not be for sale. I will be gifting and trading this version I know these took several more months than I planned, but I am happy I took the time to revise them and get the minting right. Thank you to coins and pins for your patience and working so closely with me and thank you to everyone on here for your patience. They are finally perfect.
  14. The coins are still coming. The mint is trying a new process that does not discolor the metal under the transparent enamel. I did make one slight color adjustment to the artist edition, I love the others as they are. I promise to post when they will be up for pre-sale on coinsandpins.com. Thank you all for your interest and continued patience through this process.

  17. I empathize with you, I was just speaking from my personal experience with them, outside of the geocoin and geocaching world. Each of use make our own decisions. I would not hesitate to pre-order from The Cache Shack, but I understand others are wary or pre-orders. Either way, no worries.

  19. Hey Shannon, I am glad to see you debuting on the GS coin forums. I am even more excited to see your designs doing so well. LadyBear, I understand your concern. I doubt my word means much, but I personally know Shannon and his family. He recently retired from the Navy and has been working on getting their GeoCahcing business off the ground for over a year. A lot of us local cachers have helped him out with designs, input, and ideas. I believe they have their act together and I look forward to seeing more of their designs and I wish their endeavor much success.
  20. After many distractions throwing me off track from finishing this coin, the revisions are finally back in production. I did make a small change to the front of the coin that was bugging me. The artwork as been forwarded to the mint and I will post pictures of the new samples when I have them. I have not yet heard back from the mint, but I assume the revised samples will take 4-5 weeks to come in. I apologize to everyone interested in my coin for the wait, but I felt the revision in design was necessary. ~Krystal
  21. UPDATE: After some serious consideration I am going to have the dies redone on these. There is one small problem that is just driving me bonkers. Because this coin is a zinc base the platings are having some quirky reactions during minting. There is a very large area of design under the enamel on the front of the coin in the upper part of the wings that looks grainy. You can tell i f you look closely at the pictures above..I am going to raise this design up flush with the top of the coin like it is on the back. For those of you who have asked, you have not missed the sale, there will be a delay in that due to the reminting. I want this coin to be perfect. It will be worth the wait. Thank you for hanging in there with me.
  22. I am so glad you all like this coin. About the AE edition. Bright Orange and Royal purple are my favorite colors and they look totally awful together most of the time. But I am determined to make the colors look funky cool together for this coin. It is a combination you are either gonna love or hate. So far I love the way it looks. The AE edition will be available only through trades with me. It will not be sold. I will be minting between 30-50 of them.
  23. I am VERY excited!! I received pictures of the samples from Aaron at coins and pins. I have posted the pictures on my website. CLICK HERE TO SEE BUTTERFLIES! I really would like to see these in person before final approval on the coins as I may want to change a small detail here or there, but overall I am super stoked about the way they turned out. I hope you guys like them.
  24. The coin itself is not translucent (suncatcher type), I am using translucent enamels in the color fill areas. The coin is 2.5mm thick. I used a zinc base metal as it is a bit lighter. Most coins use a brass base metal which is a heavier metal and due to the shape of the coin, especially the wings, a brass base metal would have caused the coin to warp during minting. I will post pictures as soon as I get them
  25. Yes it will be sold through their presale program. I did the same with the last coin I designed and it worked out perfectly.
