  1. I use O2 with an iPhone 5s (but not using 4G). Coverage in towns is fine, but for caching I rarely stay in towns and there are loads of gaps out in the wild. From my experience it seems no better or worse than the other networks in this respect, but O2 do at least have a reasonably honest charging system. I far prefer to use an Oregon over the phone. The iPhone GPSr is quite respectable, but I can think of no reason why 4G should improve it by one iota. Rgds, Andy I moved to an iphone 5 on EE 4G myself a few months ago. Noticed the difference in GPS accuracy immediately. The new GPSr that Apple have put in the iphone 5/5S (it's the same one in both) is miles better than the old one used in the iphone 4. Got to say, I think I agree with above though. I don't see how whether you're on 4G or 3G will make a difference to location accuracy. I'm pretty sure the two systems (GPS and Data) are completelyt seperate? I could well be wrong though. Having said that though: 4G is great for many other reasons (if you live somewhere with 4G coverage like a big town or city). When I'm stuck with 3G it... just... feels... so... slow... now... edited for spelling.
  2. These are awesome! Are they still for sale anywhere?
  3. I got mine yesterday, and it's actually bigger than I thought it would be from the pictures. It's also worth noting that the coin's image is double-sided. I'm not sure why, but I expected them to be blank on the back with just an engraved tracking code or something. But nope - full image on both sides - and not a duplicate image either: It really looks like the different sides of a TARDIS! Really happy with mine. edited because I can't spell...
  4. I'm fairly new here - I've only been caching for about 6 months - but I do love the geocoins and I check this forum most days. I didn't realise there were geocoin facebook groups. Could anyone say what they are called? I think even with FB, I'd still check this forum first though. Pan
  5. I'm too far away to help with maintenance, but I just wanted to add a reply to bump this back up to the top. Hopefully someone nearby will see it. I did the Gates Of Greenwich series about a month ago, and it was a really nice walk and a fun day (plus there are also a lot of other nice caches nearby, including a couple of Virtuals and a Wherigo). It would be a shame if this great series was lost due to not being able to find help in maintaining it. Pan
  6. “The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.”
  7. I've been trying to design a trackable Cthulhu tattoo... I've got a couple of designs already, but I do really like how he looks on the front of this coin...
  8. Thank you - I've added my details.
  9. I've just sent an email message to "Maine Family". Please can I be added to the list? Thank you.
  10. Are they actually trackable? Or just coins?
  11. Those are amazing. I've been a HPL fan since I was a kid. Does anyone know where they come from / how they are being distributed? How someone would be able to take part? Cthulhu fhtagn!
  12. Yep - That's him! Those are amazing. What are they? Where are they from?
  13. I've recently seen some really nice geocoins based on Edgar Allan Poe, and some other horror/literature based ones, and it got me wondering: Does anyone know if there are any geocoins based on H.P.Lovecraft, Cthulhu, etc?
  14. Are there any plans to make the "Geocaching In Space" picture a geocoin? I mean the official one like the mission patch. It would make a great coin. I'm not really a patch person, but I'd really like to buy a coin of it.
  15. I just ordered the Valkyries' Goecoin from geocachingshop.nl (along with a couple of other things). Can't wait for them to arrive!
