Happy Hikers here, My first impression is very negative. This is the sort of thing we stay away from, as well as grand kids . While I applaud the fact you disabled the mechanism, it still just dosen't belong here. It is something that can cause extreme physical harm in it's working state. Aside from this, should someone else come accross this, can you imagine the negative press it could get? There are numerous ideas to bring about a scary cache without the negative impression of this one. Let the imagination roll..... Carl & Sharon

We recently placed a TB in a cache and before we could enter it someone grabbed it, logged it as grabbing from us and placing again in the same cache, grabbing it again and therefore getting credit for it. Not that I really care about numbers, but was interested in the mileage as we brought it from CA to IN. Can this be corrected and what is protacol when a TB can not be logged immediately?

I think one needs to use common sense in placing a pockettknife in a cache. A large hunting knife is an intimidating item. Compare this to a pockettknife barely 2" long folded. It like other items are no more than a tool used for camping or hiking.
