  1. I have to agree with skeetersm; I too am a new Geocacher and I'll have to take all this into consideration while out caching. Thank you everyone for bringing this to the rest of our attention and also for discussing it.
  2. I'm new to Geocaching and CITO, but I want to do something like this. I definately appreciate the great guide you laid out Half Canadian. I give you props I'd like to get involved. Thanks for the motivation, too
  3. Thanks Yellow Ants for the heads up on the multilanguage site. My question now is...what about here in the States? I assume that the Spain page would have Geocaches in Spain. What about a Spanish site that shows the caches here in the US? I realize that this could be a massive amount of work if it doesn't exist yet but if it does already exist, I'd like to know what the URL is. If not, I think there might be some people who'd be willing to help make a Spanish site...I know I'd be willing to help if I could. Maybe noone else really sees this as anything, but I'd like to hear what people think about this.
  4. I noticed here that there are a variety of languages supported by a "muggle informer" document to inclose in your geocache. It occured to me that since I'm likely going to hide a microcache, if anything, for a little while and since a lot of people speak Spanish here in the Northwestern US that there needs to be a microcache insert in Spanish, too. I know some Spanish but to make sure I got the point across, I downloaded and opened up both the English microcache insert and the full sized Spanish insert and did some copying and pasting and rearanging to get the Spanish text to match the English microcache insert. I then printed them both, back to back, so that I can have a bilingual insert for a microcache. I'd love to share this with other people if it could be useful, so I'll post it here. This all leads me to the question though....what will happen if someone reads one of these non-English messages and comes to www.geocaching.com...there are no buttons or anything that I can find for other languages or other countries off the geocaching.com main page. I know I've tried to navigate web pages in a language that I don't know that well and it's always a bummer to have to user a translater like Google to figure out what each page means. Are there geocaching pages for other countries? I assume there must be, but what are the URLs for them and how about a link to them, maybe with a coresponding country flag, from the geocaching.com main page. Sorry for the long post. Below is what I came up with for use in Spanish. It would really look better in a Word doc like I have it so whatever Powers that Be that end up reading this, please let me know and I'll try to get this file to you if it can be helpful. I think I'll attach a picture of it for better effect.
