  1. It is an awesome cake, your wife is very artisitic. That is awesome!!!!
  2. My TB went about 21.6 miles or so and got stuck with a team that seems to like to keep every TB/geocoin/trackable that they come across, I think they have something like 25 trackables that they have not put back in caches since a year ago. It sucks but that is the life of a TB.
  3. I don't see a problem with that, if the cache/coin has not been retrieved in a year then I think it would be alright to start your coin in a different location so it would travel more.
  4. My dad found out about it from something, not sure where, but he started dragging me along and being a young teenager was like what the hell am I doing up at 8 on the weekends, but actually enjoyed it, but didn't realize it for about 5 years until I was mature enough and realized how fun it was, finally bought a GPS and started on my own with my girlfriend who also loves it.
  5. Glad you finally found the cache and you have an awesome story to go with it. Congratulations!!!
  6. thank you for clarifying Yeah, I took picture of a seal colony in La Jolla, CA and sent it to my folks back in PA and they thought all the seals were dead too.
  7. The best thing I found was two Seaworld tickets. Pretty cool, it was a cache by Seaworld.
  8. When I first read the title I though you meant like an ammo box tied to a dog or something, but I understand a little better. I have seen those devices but I believe they are meant mainly for storing pet info but most nanos if not bison tubes are made from other things.
  9. maybe it was because it was the only emoticon that was easy to make, haha. j/k I like Signal though, he is awesome!
  10. Hey there, I haven't found anything wierd except for a bag of mushrooms before but there is a post already dedicated to this in the Hunt/The Unsusual, the link is below for a direct link. They see some pretty interesting stuff. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=94899
  11. Arent we trying to go green in todays society. Atleast he is going green and recycling instead of letting plastic go in the garbage. Jeez, why such downers, think of the positives. Although you might want to put that tupperware container in a bear containter and then put that in concrete so that the animals don't get it, but make sure to put necessary tools in your listing as jackhammer and cemet to fix what you did.
  12. I found this posted on one of my geocaches on the AT. Just kidding actually, I live in San Diego, but I wonder how many caches will be archived because of this, I use to hike the AT when I lived on the east coast.
  13. The other way around for me. I was searching for the cache and the owner came up and talked to me.
  14. I dream about geocaching all day. Only problem is that I can't go because I have to go to work, then to school, then home for homework. Wash, rinse, repeat 5 times a week. Only leaves the weekends where the ol' ball and chain keep me from going out. Just kidding about the ol' ball and chain, she caches too but only when it is moderately cool out.
  15. I started doing this but I haven't kept up with it, I am probably about 20 caches behind and there isnt any hopes at bring that up, just don't have time, but it is always fun to look back at the caches you have done.
  16. Luckily I have not been affected by the gas prices. My geomobile is a motorcycle so I am pretty good on gas. Although finding time to geocache is another issue and in another thread I am sure.
  17. The triton series is nice but it is not great. It is very very slow when trying to add waypoints or navigate to them, I had problems keeping my screen options from changing, I would changed them one way and they would just reset back to the defaut mode. Also, it is very confusing when actually trying to route to something. For the same price you can get the Garmin Vista HCx on walmart.com.
  18. Fairwell to my explorist 200 My first ever GPS and although I have moved on to a new garmin I will never forget my explorist, it was a great tool for my first 100 finds.
  19. I had that problem when placing one of my caches, not so extensive as yours but I had to move it twice before the third and still final location was accepted. It was puzzle legs that had me move my cache so many times.
  20. I found a bag of shrooms once. I just left it there, I think anyone that would have tried to eat them would probably die because they looked like they were sitting out in the sun forever and were quite juicy and nasty looking, haha.
  21. Well wasn't really sure to post except I knew I need to get to the general San Diegans. I own two caches in Marian Bear Canyon in Clairemont and I am moving in the beginning of June, around the 6th. I didn't want to archive the caches because they are in really good spots and the one has a really cool container that I think people will like. I was wondering if any of you would be so gracious enough to adopt my caches, they are literally only about .15 away from each other in the canyon and only a short walk to them. The links to them are these Helping Hand This cache has a really cool cache container. The second one is Cougars Stash This is just a really nice view. If anyone of you want to adopt them please let me know, I will check back here everyonce in awhile but the best bet would be to e-mail through my profile or just directly through my e-mail which is nameless301@yahoo.com For those that want to adopt it please let me know, and also let me know how because I am not quite sure of the adoption process. For those that do want to adopt it I will take a hike down in the canyon with you to show you where the caches are and everything. Thank you and have a good day.

  23. Holy Crap. What a bad paint job Seriously, Cudos on the arm job!!! Yeah yeah yeah, I did a horrible job at painting, I first cut the stencil out to big and then I was in a rush so I didn't taped it down and it smeared and got all funky.
