  2. HI all, I am a huge fan of geotiki coins. I have several including the new silver fellow.... well I also had a coin traveling around Hawaii for year looking to be picked up by Tiki and be photographed in the mysterious studios located on the island of Oahu.

The coin has made it an the item is logged. If you like tiki's handmade coins and want to read this story you can get info at the following urls...

  3. For Christmas I set my boyfriend and my sister up with racers. Our 2007 race will end in March. *Note there is a free coin who takes mine the farthest and I am currently 4k miles behind.

    MY RACER: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=825713

I want to trade some of my sets for 4 new racers. I am adding another family member to the racing pool so it will be two of my sisters, me and my boyfriend.

If you can please contact me through the email. I don't get to the board to much and I want to trade by Sunday so I can get these on time.

  7. went to assemble a pocket query and the united states was missing from countries.

I was also trying to run a query based on 900 miles on caches found for the "it's not about the numbers" website and it kept defaulting back to 500. Is there a limit?

  8. My Webpage

My new personal coin sets are in and I couldn't be more pleased. I designed them using Roy Lichtenstein as my influence. RL incorporated the comic book feel and the print method called Benzay dots, I used this to create a set of coins as a tribute to my cache-dogs Zoe and Cassy.

You can read more on my blog.

Everyone who pre-ordered has been shipped as of Today so you should be getting them soon.

    Thanks.

  9. I never used Terra caching... But I am glad they do it. I should give it a try sometime. Thanks all, goodnight.

No thanks . . . I have quite a few caches hidden already and have absolutely no idea how you would implement such a thing. ;)

Confirmation codes work on Terracaching, but that is a much smaller caching community, and if someone forgets the code :D , it is not too burdensome for the cache owner to reply to the infrequent email requesting the code. ;)

I agree. It has to be built into the site. It works well on TC. :D

  10. Well if a cacher selects the Options to use PAPERLESS.. no code, no cache. Learning to write has it's advantages... ;) it is just an idea. I guess everyone loves stuffin bison tubes as much as I do!

If you have an option to have a puzzle cache where someone can require you to solve or a virtual cache where you have to email the owner the quote off a statue.. I don't see why a cache owner would not be at an advantage if they had the option to go paperless. It would allow for some additionally challenging cache containers and low maintenance, less container waste in the field.

  11. I need to learn how to write?:D I have some geocaches under my belt. I would very much welcome the OPTION to not include a log book. It seems everytime I try to contribute someone always has a "debbie downer" message. geez!

I think the option to include paperless logging for cache containers would be a great idea.

If we can log a coin or tb, why not have a serial code for our caches that are good for only logging a cache?

The cache owner would label the container with the serial code and the cacher would have to find the cache in order to get the logging code.

I think there are strict copyrights on scanning barcodes, but it would also be very cool to also print a barcode on the label so us tech geeks can scan the data when visiting a cache.

There are MANY pros and cons I suppose but as a cache hider it would mean that any container could be used without the need for cramming paper into a bison tube or replacing logs even when the cache has tons of positive logs that the cache is fine.

I know many people like to log the cache in the field, but then we come back and log them again online.

  16. I wouldn't sell them, I would never give anyone a coin that was not spec. The only thing wrong was a sequential number was off by one digit. I ordered more serial codes for the replacements and now I have been using them as personal bugs only. I have some in Austrailia and one being released in Hawaii this week which I am excited about.

I went to a coin event in my town and someone people were mentioning things other people had done with them, such as having the mistake resurfaced... So I was just wondering how often this happens and what creative ideas people had.

My first thought was "I'd put them back in order".

How are they incorrect? If you have duplicates and released one, the person who buys the other one won't be too pleased.

  17. With my Dazzle pocketpups.net geocoin, I ended up with some coins with incorrect sequential numbering. I was wondering what you all have done with your imperfect coins if you have had any?
