  1. I don't think a bug should show up in the first place. It can be a surprise when you open the container. Let the logging stay the same, still have the bug page list what cache it's in. Why do you need to know that there's a TB in the cache, other then to steal it?
  2. I ate frog legs. Does that count? Aren't french people sometimes called frogs? GS didn't think that one through
  3. I don't think a "Note" counts. I have a cache with 2 points, 2 finds and 1 note, it's at 100%. Your cache looks fine, 4 points from 10 PM logs, 40%
  4. I liked the change back then. But, there were only about 4 icons total. I know the real reason for this change. With all the talk here, nobody has started the "BRING BACK CHALLENGES!!!!!" thread yet.
  5. So make the DNF red then. The Write Note looks like a broken image. Yet another thing I'll need to customize with the lubricated primate.
  6. After their first FTF, they will be sitting around and not care about the next new cache. Someone else will get a chance at it. This might end the FTF race as we know it!
  7. I don't think a cache in the center is a good idea. A good game of frogger has many crossings - what about a multi that bounces back and forth a few times? Nobody stays in the middle of the road (unless hit) and you get the cachers to do the fun/stupid/whatever crossing that you want them to do.
  8. I did a quick search of the area, sorted by last found. They were the names from the last 2-3 days. I don't know when the stamp was stolen so it might have been before them. Some cachers trade the same items, the stamp might have been placed in another nearby cache, I once found a stamp in a cache about a mile away. we also have cachers who place store-bought stamps as trade items.
  9. There has never been a letterbox cache with a name similar to Mystical Beast within 47.5 miles of Letterbox at Stone Mountain park listed on the geocaching.com web site. I have looked at both active and archived caches within the 47.5 mile radius (I have reviewer tools to do this) so the information given to you is not correct. There are about 175 letterboxes in the park - They're listed on the letterboxing website. I assume it's "Mythical Beast - Red Cap" listed on Atlasquest.com I still think your best hope of finding the person is to watch who logs the nearby caches for the day it went missing.
  10. Don't know if it will help, but only these cachers have logged in the past few days: ZoomerEtc rosecachers Skillet68 LoneButterfly **GC190V3** tiehack pe_teach
  11. It's always nice to find a cache that hasn't been found for awhile, it's almost like opening a time capsule. Last year I was 2nd to find on a cache - 3 years after FTF!! It was a (full-size) puzzle cache hidden in the parking lot of a 70 cache power trail! I parked within 5' of it, but it was a "bonus" to a hard series that few took the time to go after.
  12. My cache containers I get for free. Geocoin insurance on the other hand...
  13. I know in one state (Mass) you can't even own spent crushed casings without a permit. A scrapper I know got in trouble because he was collecting them for the metal!
  14. ...so he destroyed the mark after 150 years just so he can brag about it?
  15. If it went missing it's no longer the oldest cache. Why not archive it? Near me we have the "Oldest Cache in the State" that's been replaced 4 times and moved at least once. I adopted the now 3rd oldest in the state, still in the original plastic box with original logbook and the photo's from the first camera. What one of the two is more historic? Why not find out what cache is truly the "Oldest" and make that one special?
  16. Don't give up. Around here that would be a 2* puzzle. Most puzzles can be solved without leaving the cache page.
  17. The news article said the package had the word "bomb" on it. Hopefully a cacher isn't stupid enough to label his cache that way! Think I could get a cache published named "qwoq"??
  18. Do the letterbox caches have stamps? or just used for the icons? It might be worth a trip out for that alone!
  19. What's not a cipher? This puzzle? Maybe... I didn't see the GC# but I assumed he was talking about my cache. My question was his answer. My cache has been out 4 months without a FTF. Geochecker: "There have been 258 visits to this hash, including this visit; of those who attempted a solution, 0 had the right coordinates, and 123 had the wrong coordinates. A solution was last attempted on 2012-10-01."
  20. You wanted something like what I attached to this post? I was interested because it involved Halloween themes, and I'm very involved with that. Anyway, I'm imposing a two second timer between when the game starts to when the zones are moved. This is because the emulator did not like the zones being moved immediately and a one second timer did not always produce the moved zones during testing. One thing that seemed odd is the cartridge's coordinates were .12 miles (miles for the US, 193 meters for Europe) from the starting location. I changed this so the person is only thirty feet (10 meters) away from the entrance zone. This is the only other modification I did. I did not play through the cartridge (only so much can be done during a lunch break), so I do not know if there might be any issues to address. And as for clowns and such, I took the picture below last year. Among other things, I fancy myself a professional haunt photographer. Thanks! The cartridge's coordinates were set for the parking and I never changed them for this version. I'll head out and try this tomorrow, it's exactly what I wanted. It looks like you start in the SE corner? That's fine, I just want to be sure it's right when I post it on the cartridge page. I love the photo!
  21. Here's the cartridge that need to be converted. http://www.Wherigo.com/cartridge/details.aspx?CGUID=4e2997f5-ccce-4231-972f-3196a81d7959
  22. I'm sorry, but if every brand name of fast food can have its own category, then I don't see how another type of grave would be a problem. Do you know of one it would fit into? I don't. This isn't for famous people. Their grave might not be "out of place". Cemetery themed subcategories: 15 Restaurant Chain subcategories: 33!
  23. I find it ironic that most of the people who posted in this haven't logged in for years.
