  1. At one time attendees at an event could (mistakenly) log 'attended' on a date different from the event date. Now, the only option is to log the date of the event. GPS Adventures Maze Exhibit, TELUS World of Science (GC58J1B), Edmonton, Canada was open from 18-Jul-2014 to 11-Jun-2015. During those 11ish months 200+ people logged 'attended' on various dates while the event was open. I attended 25-Apr-2015. I know not whether this 'cache event' is still available, but I am wondering, if it still runs as it did then, how Groundspeak would square the enforced logging of the event on the day it opens, with cachers attending on subsequent dates?
  2. Ahha... yes I did count those early June finds... and stopped finding (except for an A/L) at the end of June. Thank you. (I did get the souvenir.)
  3. Earn the hard souvenir for this month by logging a find on 20 different days during June. By my count I have 23 days, but no souvenir. I have the easy and medium souvenirs. Anybody else have the same issue?
  4. My partner and I realized this many moons ago. We found out the hard way, so, now we ensure that we both have the app open and can get to the answer while there.
  5. Recently, I have discovered 2 geocachers in my area who have logged caches as 'found' but their caching handles do not appear on the log sheets. While they are relative newbies (one <100 finds, the other <200), they should have sufficient understanding about claiming a find. I have reached out to both... with no response. I do not believe that they just "didn't have a pencil"; I believe this is claiming a find without physical presence, and hoping the owner does nothing. I know I can delete the log, but if this is a habit, and I'm the only one 'policing' my caches, then this pattern will continue. I can check one because 'his' handle is public to review other caches claimed; I cannot check the other as 'his' handle is private. comments? suggestions?
  6. I know that moving the cache >161 m can be done, and our reviewer has done so with my partner very recently when a cache was muggled shortly after publishing. Mine is being moved further, but while moving outside the shadow of GZ isn't usual, neither is it unheard of. Eventually she will send me a nag message, at which time, I'll re-request a move. Thank you all for your insights.
  7. I used her email as per her direction several years ago. As mentioned at the start, this move is greater than 528 ft, therefore requires Reviewer help. The cache was published 3-Mar-22, by the Reviewer I am trying to contact. I have just seen a several caches archived, disabled, and published by her. Perhaps she was on vacation <crossed fingers>
  8. I contacted her using the email access provided through her profile. I have checked my hotmail spam, and there are no messages from her in there. She usually responds within a few days. I believe I have a good relationship with her, but now...?
  9. Shortly after I placed a cache it was muggled. I disabled it. I wasn't really happy with the placement to start with, so I sought, and found, a more suitable spot. Knowing that I cannot move it out of the shadow of the initial GZ, I asked my reviewer to help (4-Apr-22): "Hi. re: https://coord.info/GCxxxxx I would like to move this to N xx xx.xxx W xxx xx.xxx. It seems there are no proximity issues, and I see no private property signs to prevent this placement. It's in an industrial area, so no schools or playgrounds. Please and thank you." No response. I sent another note (5-Apr-22): "BTW, re: https://coord.info/GCxxxxx, please let me know if possible, and if possible move as disabled so I can make changes to the notes, and prepare a cache to go in the tree." No response. I sent another note (17-Apr-22) re: https://coord.info/GCxxxxx "I hope I haven't done or said anything to upset you. I sent you an email 5-Apr about moving this. I'd rather not archive. Please respond. ..kind regards.." No response. Suggestions?
  10. My caching partner (GeoGuider) and I have found EXACTLY the same caches on the same day since the start of this promo. As of this writing 22:30 MDT, I have 635 points and she has 455 (difference is 180 or 3*60). I have 4 labyrinth items, she has 1. Difference - 3 @ 60 points = 180. Explanation please?
  11. I solved it by going to the web page for Lab caches, found the one I had 'deleted', and undeleted. As for the unintentional logging - I actually did log it, but my 'partner in crime' who is supposed to be logging in lockstep with me, did not. So I sought to delete so we could be in step. But that didn't solve the issue, it just created a new one. So, we'll have to find a different solution; but that's for another day.
  12. Thanks for your help. Problem solved.
  13. A few weeks ago I logged a 'stage' of an Adventure Lab unintentionally. This was the last stage of a 5 stage AL, and on my phone, it showed as 'Completed'. I went to my AL finds list (labs.geocaching.com/logs), and deleted the offending log. The web page now shows that I have 4 for that AL, BUT my phone still shows that AL as 'Completed'. Is there a way to refresh my phone app to get it to update and change that AL back to 4? ..kind regards.. j0ckser
  14. My friend has solved some power trail puzzles (white on white) but I don't have time to do them myself before we head out on a caching weekend trip. Please help with ways for me to get them from her. p.s. If this has already been discussed, my apologies. Please direct me to the appropriate thread.
  15. Ok... so... it's all very well for us to ruminate about this, or preach to the converted as it were. Is there ANY possibility the GS is aware of this issue? AND is there ANY possibility the GS would change the way these caches are recorded on the 'Finds for Each Day of the Year' calendar on our profiles? I really don't care how they record the find (UTC or local time zone), but I do care that they are consistent with how they display it, and the way it is displayed on that calendar is not consistent with the found date as they have defined it!
  16. Fancy that... a discussion about an issue that has just raised its ugly head for me. I found 2 lab caches about 3 hours apart... deliberately - one before 17:00 MDT (in my area of the world divides the dates found), the other after so that the first would be recorded the day I found it, and the other on the next. When I check my 'finds by date' calendar both show up on actual date found. However, when I check my public profile, and examine the Lab cache finds list, they are shown as 'found' as intended - the first on the day found, and the second on the next day. And, when I check my 'finds by date' calendar on Project GC, the calendar shows the caches as 'found' as intended, and on my lab cache tab, the dates are also correct. Why does GS record these in 2 different ways? Do they even realize they are recorded differently? Why bother with UTC anyway? It has nothing to do with the recording of other caches. Any chance this might be fixed in the near future?
  17. I get no message. I can get to the main page, but cannot access my account. I have 2 computers (one to eventually replace the other), both running Firefox. My lady has just attempted and SUCCEEDED in getting into her account. She uses chrome. I guess mine hates me. ;-(
  18. Thank you all for your thoughts. It is, perhaps, a brain wave that has become a brain fart. I'll keep looking and asking.
  19. I think I'm using the correct term - refers to a cache that will fit in a crack. The crack in this case isn't really a crack at all, but a slim space between a sign and one of the posts holding the sign. It will be exposed to weather on the edges. Any thoughts or pictures would be appreciated.
  20. WOW! That was fast. Thank you all for your insight. divtable did the trick.
  21. I want to create a table on the cache page for a geocache that I am creating. I have tried http://www.tablesgenerator.com/html_tables# but the result is very poor. I suspect the issue is in the html code used. The table needs to be 3R6C. Then I need to know how to populate it with more than one word items. Help. Please (and thank you in advance). j0ckser
  22. Thank you John. I think the answer is, "It (what I want to do) can't be done." There is a GSAK session at Speedy Creek (WESCAN7) and I'll ask there.
