  1. What "box" are you referring to? I feel like a noob w/ my yellow Etrex all over again. LOL. I was referring the box next to the cache listing when you search for caches. Then there is the "Send to GPS" icon next to that. But I'm guessing I can do a PQ, unzip, send to GSAK, then just hook GPSR to computer and transfer? Thanks again for everyone's help.
  2. Thanks for all of the replies. Another question: Do I still need to use GSAK with an Oregon/Colorado/Lowrance Endura? or can I just click the "box" on GC.com? Thanks again!

  4. Well, it's time to retire our beloved Etrex Vista. We use my Palm Centro (PDA) for all our paperless caches. We just got a new computer w/ Windows 7 and the Palm won't HotSync with the new computer. We want to get a new "all in one" unit where the caches description/ratings/logs are already on the GPSR. I've searched the forums and can't seem to find the answer to my question: We're premium members on GC.com and have GSAK already. Just wondering how many "paperless caches" can be stored in the Dakota's/Colorado's? Thanks for taking the time to look at our question, hopefully you can help us!

  6. We ebayed a palm 7 for our first paperless caching experience. It was cheap & worked well (about $25 on ebay). After doing our time with it, it was a pain to always carry it around. I ended up getting a Palm Centro cell phone. It was one of the best caching moves we've made. You always need a cell phone anyway!! Now, we can download 500 waypoints and cache even when we don't expect it! I definately recommend the Centro as a phone/palm pilot!
  7. Here's an old pic of our now 3 yr old. It was originally for the White Jeep Contest! Enjoy Also, the other pics of active members are very moving. I'm especially touched by the post by "DaFunkyFrogs", God Bless Your cousin for making the ultimate sacrifice. I was never in the military, but many of our family members were and are still active duty in "Western Europe".

  9. We weren't caching, but here's our closest to it! We met up with the man our son's hockey coin was made after. , the MOST penalized man in all of hockey. He was absolutely the nicest guy and loved the kids. He signed a puck, a previous picture and of course our hockey coin. He was thrilled we made it for him. He said it was tough to sign and smudged a little bit, but I thought it would be cool to share here.
  10. Well, our local Chevy dealer had a player meet/autograph session last week. We met up with the man our son's hockey coin was made after. , the MOST penalized man in all of hockey. Just confirming the obvious. Too much snow for Sunday morning hike. I'd still do it, but not with an almost two year old on my back. There will be plenty of time to do the caches in the future. Sorry, we'll have to plan ahead next time. Maybe we can have a BYOL (Bring your own lunch) or even a mini camp fire on the way back to these two caches one day. Seems like it would be a cool event, no sure if it's PA game lands or what, so not sure about an open fire. let us know what you think.

Lots of people are watching this thread & I was planning on having an event cache this Sunday. Only prob. is that you have to have an event planned 2 weeks in advance. How about some of the NEPA cachers meet at the parking coords (41 12.525 075 47.359) for a hike to the following caches on Sunday, March 18th @ 8 in the morning? Reply here is your up for it. Winds of Change Tilting the Windmills I know a lot of people have done these caches, but at least it's a start to put some caching names with faces. Hopefully we'll meet some newbie cachers and recognize some of our caching buddies. We hope to see you there!!!

Hey everyone. After a few failed attempts at a local caching organization from NEPA cachers (two that I can remember) , lets ALL try to make this one work. Great job Matcat with the design! Now it's on to your website. Keep in touch, we (Team WBFD & BoKnowsCaching) will help with whatever we can!!!
