  1. I recently updated to 5.35 on my Meri-Gold. Accuracy fell off and I went back to 5.12. I want to change the "Lawyer Screen" and have the MyMeridian software, however, I can't remember how to change the software to read 5.12 instead of 3.12. Can someone refresh my memory or is there a new version of MyMeridian for 5.12? Thanks

Besides, I have the light pack; the wife carries the child when needed! You can see the Cyclone at: http://www.blackhawkindustries.com/product...chterms=cyclone
  3. I have been using these NiMH, http://www.thomas-distributing.com/mh-4aa220.htm in my Meri Gold, Digital Camera, Child's toys and the TV remote with very good results. I purchased a package deal with batteries, a smart charger and free battery cases. I was so pleased with the results, I purchased a second charger that I keep in the Cache Mobile for long trips and camping. TRIOGEO
  4. I use these plastic cases that came with my battery charger. You can purchase them from: http://www.thomas-distributing.com/batteryholder-index.htm They are inexpensive and work great. Hope this helps. TRIOGEO
  5. MAUISON The bark is VERY tough. I removed it about ten years ago and had to use a sharp knife. I just put a finish on the stick tonight. I used a teak oil. Being a hardwood this will penetrate the wood and give a satin finish. (which I prefer). I am still thinking of puting a satin urethane over it. I will post pictures soon. TRIOGEO
  6. I believe you are right about it being cherrywood. Has anyone used a natural finish like boiled linseed oil on their stick? I used to use it on my rifle stock as a finish. TRIOGEO
  7. I just started making my first Geocaching / hiking / walking stick. I was injured in a traffic accident last week and will be making a slow comeback to Geocaching. I pulled out a stick that I have had stored in my garage for about ten years. My brother brought it back from Hawaii for me. I have no idea what type of wood it is, but it is very dense and strong. I removed most of the bark with the exception of above and below where the handle will be. The bark is a dark brown / purple in color. Can anyone identify this wood? What type of finish would be good for outdoor use? Thanks Triogeo

  14. We did a couple of locationless caches for the first time yesterday. We got hooked. These type of caches are really enjoyable and taught us a little history as we searched for the required information. We logged several and then rushed home to create our own. We spent about three hours planning it and getting the cache page just right, only to find out that Geocaching.com is not approving locationless caches at this time. (Darn). It will just have to wait until they start approving them again. TRIOGEO
  15. COWIE: N26 47.3 runs from Palm Beach Shores on the east coast of Florida across the bottom portion of Lake Okeechobee between Belle Glade and Pahokee and out to the west coast above Clewiston. I live at N27 21.3 which for me is about a 45-60 minute drive south to those coordinates. If no one from the southern area can help you, my schedule will be clear in a couple of weeks and I could help out. Good luck to you. TRIOGEO
