  1. I found a cigar cutter in a cach once. At first I thought it was finger guillotine or something like that so I took it. It was not till I got home that someone told me what it was, looks kinda dangerous if ya ask me.
  2. Thanks for the replies. I was not aware of the Jeppesen—database. However it looks like it is not compatiable with the map 76, only certain models of avaition GPS's. Oh well, just trying to get more use out of my 76 other that caching

  6. I have a Map 76S and was wondering if there is map software available that will show me airports and com freq for said airports. A Friend of mine was showing me that his GPS (don't remenber the model but I thinkg it was a Megellan) came pre-loaded with all the apirpots listed in the AOPA Airport Directory. His GPS was designed for pilots and thus had this info loaded. I plan on using this GPS for Caching and flying my Ultralight next spring so being able to load airport info would be very usefull to me. Thanks, Veritech
  7. Nickn7, Just where can I get more info on the Mighty Mouse II external antenna? I have a map 76S and am looking for a good external antenna. Thanks, Veritech

  12. Thanks for all the replies. It looks like getting a WAAS receiver is an option at this point and not a requirment. Now I will make the determination on what GPS to get by price and featured instead of just WAAS. I have narrowed the list down to the following: 1. Garmin GPSMAP76 (waas enabled) 2. Garmin GPS III+ (I like this one as I could use it on my ultralight with an enternal antena. 3. Garmin Etrex Legend (waas enabled) 4. Magellan Sporttrax map (Also waas enabled) Any input on these choices? Thanks, Randy
  13. To Waas or not to Waas? That is the question. I am new to Geo caching and am going to be getting my first GPS very soon. Have been doing a lot of research on what one to get and I am uncertain if I need to pay the extra $$$ for a unit with Waas. Also since I live in Michigan and Waas is only available in the USA, how much more accurate will it be up here? TIA, Randy
