  1. Nickerson State Park CITO according to EVERY weather report for the past week, it was supposed to pour yesterday. Mother Nature was kind enough to hold that back until AFTER the event we had 14 cachers show up (adults + kids) and had a great time doing trail maintenance and picking up what trash we could find. diapers, old grills, old skateboards, tires, LOTS of beer cans and of course, the cement blocks I always seem to find! Thanks to all who showed up and helped!
  2. one in my state of Massachusetts; Nickerson State Park CITO (MA -4/23 rain OR shine!! (probably in the Rain!)) as for the rest of New England? Hinds Lane Conservation property CITO (NH - 4/22) Frog Rock CITO (NH - 5/06) Cockenoe Island CITO (CT - 5/06 The 2nd Annual Penobscot River Clean-up ( ME - 5/20) shameless plug: i've got a brand new CITO tshirt to give away at the Nickerson State Park CITO on 4/23 - and we just had a un-registered TB tag donated to give away as well!
  3. skinny_1, i appreciate the response and the email - at least someone replied! =)
  4. yes.... i was simply hoping to chat with someone local. looking at a cache on a map is one thing, reading the info on a cache page is another. talking with someone who has been there is often times the best.
  5. hey all (and a quick wave to the state of ky!) - i'll be arriving in dallas for GW4 on wed, may 24th in the afternoon and plan to make a trek to snag new mexico, colorado, oklahoma (and quite possibly kansas) in the couple of days before the event. (yes, i know, i'm slightly insane) - i was hoping anyone in the area might help out with some local insight, OR if anyone is interested in joining me (this would pretty much be a long range cache and dash trip) lemme know - thanks! jenn
  6. hi all - i have a 4 hour layover at Minneapolis/St Paul, MN. on may 24th. i was kinda hoping there might be a cache or two VERY near the airport - can anyone help me out? thanks! jenn
  7. unfortunately, my fave friend to go caching with is an avid golfer. that means i cache alone for the summer!
  8. and just why haven't you gotten up to massachusetts yet?? Hell, I came to pennsylvania! (alright, i'm joking. mostly) *g* (don't make me get the axe...) koneko

  12. i never got the chance to meet him, but recognized the team name. so sorry to hear about your loss. my condolences.
  13. i installed mapsource (v6) yesterday and after a successfull installation, choose some maps to download to my gps (garmin gpsmap76cs) and the pc would no longer recognize that it was connected. this has happened before - before i needed to update the driver - i did so from the garmin website, and had no problems. i figured this was the same. i downloaded the appropriate driver and i still can't get anywhere. please can anyone give me a hand? i'm traveling to ontario on friday and would REALLY like some maps of the area in my gps. yahoo = okoneko aim = okoneko icq = 199998
  14. i've connected before, but suddenly my PC won't recognize my gpsmap76cs. the pc WILL recognize my digital camera, but not the gps - if someone could give me a hand i'd REALLY appreciate it. aol = okoneko yim = okoneko msn = okoneko icq = 199998

    Help Please!

i dropped a TB in an I90 cache and lost the name of the cache i logged it in. i was traveling east on I90 and it was at a service area. a traditional cache. i've gone searching via maps, but just can't seem to find it. a little help here? koneko
  18. hey all =) question: i've used GSAK before to download waypoints into the 76cs - no problems with it. this morning i upload a few photos onto my computer from a digital cable using the same USB cable i use for the garmin - minutes after uploading the photos, i can't download any waypoints. this is the error i got: error sending waypoints: [error]setupdienumdeviceinterfaces: no more data is available is the unit powered up and connected?[error] send_waypoint: unknown waypoint protocol garmin:communication error sending waypoints what am i overlooking? i did check to make sure the cable was properly connect (at both ends) and the garmin was on. i also double checked the GPS setup - it was set on the right manufacturer AND the usb box was checked. thanks in advance =) jenn <edited> here's another bit - i tested the camera i uploaded from just now, and i get a two-toned alert when i've successfully connected a device via the USB cable. i don't get that when i hook up the garmin. i get a 5-beep alert. so, that's the problem, but what is the problem, exactly? *laughs*
  19. can someone 'markwell' me and help me find an old thread that discussed accessing geocaching.com via a cell phone? - thanks - 'neko
  20. all of my family is in massachsuetts. i moved down to lexington about ten years ago, and it's just time for me to get back in touch with my family and the area - i LOVE the northeast and can't believe i've spent so much time in ky! lexington is a great town (hard to call it a city) and i'll miss it, but i'm really looking forward to being back in new england =) 'neko
  21. thanks, but the idea is to grab something easily, as i've got a uhaul and a car in tow - making a 'uturn' (i know, not literally) just for a cache going west bound - i don't think so - if you know of any east bound, in would love to hear em - thanks anyways! 'neko
  22. Definitely is NOT a cache and dash. But you are right, it has a great view of the turnpike. And it's probably on my top ten list! Not sure how OP would make out with a U-Haul, though. yeah, i just don't think i'll be hitting this one with a uhaul, car in tow, and pets in the truck!! perhaps another day! 'neko
  23. thanks all, appreciate the suggestions! 'neko
