I have been using my unit with the City Nav v8 and it works great. Not as easy as a full car unit but gets the job done. If you can afford two units certainly get the car only one but if you need one for everything this unit does the trick.

I grabbed mine from gpsnow.com as well. Fast service and the price was good. You may be able to find it cheaper once everyone has them in stock but I am guessing not much cheaper as they always seem very competative.

Anyone know when this one is going to be at the stores. I see that you can not order it from Garmin even yet.

Well did the update this evening and this is the first time that I have ever seen the D show up. The signal seems to be much stronger which is nice. Will take it out in the field tomorrow to give it a test run.

I am curious as well.. All the places that I have contacted do not have it and have no idea when Garmin is going to release the new version. Seems like someone made a mistake by leaving customers with no solution.
