  1. well aware of how old this thread is, but here's one for ya RACCOON LOOP..........HIKING 20 MILES FOR ONE SMILEY? enough said
  2. ok, so that didn't work out the way i planned it. but if you pan out, just look to where i am refering to
  3. check this map out. http://www.geocaching.com/map/default.aspx...p;lon=-80.22585 That park has got 35 caches in it and it looks like theres room for more another park near me: http://www.geocaching.com/map/default.aspx...;lon=-80.377833 Cranberry Township: http://www.geocaching.com/map/default.aspx...;lon=-80.377833 that cluster you see at the top is a park
  4. you guys should check out my (and Leps, since they live near me) area. We got one cacher that's got 117 caches placed and they are ALL unique on there own. I mean, you can't go anywhere without finding one of his caches, if you can find it at all. Then there are the Leprechaun caches, also very unique. Most i usually can't always find since the Leps caches are usually hard.
  5. where were we before the 'net came around? have we ever been on topic for this thread?
  6. 1. yes. sounds like the guy gave up on caching. BUT you should at least go for the cache first to see if it's still there and check out what the problem is. Then maybe post an SBA 2. did he post that the cache was actually, physically moved and given new coords? Otherwise, no, don't SBA this one until you are absoultly sure about it
  7. i wonder if we've officially kiiled this thread. thunder mole, lol. Kinda sounds like a Pikachu
  8. dang Vinny. He made me double post
  9. I've had duck before. Kinda tasted like chicken. that does not look like a duck At one time I provided technical support for our plant in northern California. The employees that went searching for those clams had a very "colorful" name for them. BrrrMo, it took 39 posts this time around. Thanks to me, LOL what was the "colorful" name of the clams? and did you get "the clap"?

    Withdrawl!

Uh, not one to get bashed on the forums (though i probably will now when i ask this question) but what's the point?

  12. Nevermind the llama, how about geoducks? ok..................1 what the bloody heck are those? and 2. You really don't want to know wat i thought they looked like when i first saw it
  13. um...........just because it was probably place unknowingly in a patch of posion oak, doesn't make the cache an evil hide. the CO may not have known that the plant was poisonous. Can you tell the difference between poison ivy and real ivy? Unless you've had some "training (i.e. Boy scouts)" you can't tell what something really is. And even then, some people are immune to the effects of the poison plants. I've been in scouting for a long while, and never had a rash from touching the plants
  14. I had a topic just like this one. Wonder where it went to.................. Having found 206 caches in my 2 and a half year caching career, i've gone as far as 20 miles to find a cache. If you check my profile (then my travel bug page and check on Keruso's Cachemobile) you will see where i've cached so far, though i wasn't always able to drive my travel bug to every cache. there's a cache by me that's 1.2 miles from me. I've found the first stage, but it's a long drive to the second and it takes me to an over/underpass, so im passing that one up the next one is 2.3 miles from me. Unfortunately it's my friends and i know exactly where it is. he won't let me log it. That concludes the first page for me (also some of which are my caches) The next one that comes up is 3.5 miles from me. We seem to have a new "Team" come up in the past year that seems to like placing caches at car washes........ this one is an exception then i have 3 at 3.8 miles from me. One's a mystery cache. i don't go for those unless i can figure out what the daggum puzzle is. the other two are multi's that i haven't gone for yet. If you haven't noticed, i live in a cache rich area. New caches are popping up just about everyday
  15. Glad we came before this one Okvalle, you're really doing a great job to fill the islands with caches, now we have to come back! Nice idea. Lol, knowing me, if i had seen this pic online, and i went for it anyway, i'd have looked in the guardrail first just to make sure that it was there. Then maybe the fence This is great, I have one similar, but the top is on a pivot, and turns off to revel the bison tube. Great minds...lol Sweet!!! Now that i know what im looking for when i go for yours Bergie, i know that i'm going to find the cache. Now if i knew which cache of yours it was.........................
  16. looks like my Super Steelers Bug Tag (TB27AT0) has gone missing from the AGT cache it has gone in. It was fairly new, activated it in June, moved three times and sat in the AGT cache, which apparently has gone missing (the bugs, not the cache). Didn't even make it to any of it's destinations. Oddly enough, i have four other bugs, and excpet for one missing it's traveler (which is in a race) none have gone missing (although one of them is extremely huge. It'll take a towtruck to lose it)

  18. first time happened to me about a week or two ago. After attending an event, i went to check up on one of my caches in the area that had it's 1 year anniversary. as i was contemplating on placing in a new log sheet, a car pulls up beside me. Turns out it was a couple i was talking to(and already know from our local forum) from the same event that i just left from. told them that they won't be able to find the cache, since it's sitting in my lap.
  19. and most of them are either quite evil, or in very senic locations my first was a multi in a graveyard near me. after maybe finding 20 caches (and 1 multi), i decided to place my first cache near where i have my Boy Scout meetings. called it "Don't Be Scared By the Ghouls". i used Stacker3 vials as my stages, which weren't waterproof, and after not being able to find the third stage myself, i decided to archive it. did i mention that i didn't have a GPS yet? had to borrow my friends. lasted a few months
