  1. Finished packaging the latest group today. So far 150 orders have been filled and 91 are still outstanding. All orders placed on or before 22:10PST 11-8-2005 have been filled. We are expecting the next shipment next week, and I will get them out as soon as they arrive. Sissy
  2. Well folks, I am back at it again. The mint sent 300 coins yesterday, and I have packaged to mail all but about 25 of them. I will take care of them as soon as I get home from work tomorrow. If you placed your order before 14:04PST Nov 8, 2005, yours are on the way. Check your paypal transaction receipt for this info. I have 45 packages that will be mailed tomorrow. The mint should be sending the next batch next week. I know that this seems to be dragging out forever....but it is not due to foot-dragging on our part. When we get a shipment from the mint, every coin is dispatched within two days of its arrival here. Please continue to be patient, I promise we are getting them to you as fast as the mint is getting them to us! Sissy
  3. Hi folks... Sorry for the non-responsiveness on my part here. These coins were supposed to be here and shipped before I went on vacation. I put the vacation off for a month just for this reason. Imagine my disappointment when I found out the #@$#@ mint would be closed for 2 weeks! So, I packed up my computer and printer, co-opted my nephew's desk and spent one day of my time on LI, NY, shipping coins. I will say that the lady at the post office in Ridge NY is one of the nicest I have dealt with! This also explains why folks in NY got their coins quickly. While I was up there, I had access to my incoming e-mail, but my shack-up bro-in-law couldn't figure out how to network my pc in a way to allow for e-mailing out. And CR does all that stuff here, so I am useless. I needed a map just to connect all the parts of my computer back together! The second batch of coins came in yesterday. We are still waiting for the rest. I got home around 5pm and had been driving all day (My parents think having a personal driver for their 40' RV and towed car is the bomb!) I was too tired to concentrate, so I just wrapped them last night. Most were packaged up and sent today, and the rest will be sent tomorrow. I do not know when the next batch is due to be sent from the mint. Where does your order stand? Rather than one person doing a lot of work (me), a lot of people can do a little work (ya'll). Check the date and time of your paypal order. If it was placed before 18:17PST on Nov 6, 2005, it is on the way. If it was placed after that time, I do not have enough coins yet to fill your order. Extra postage: Those who ordered one coin underpaid by $.03, two coins overpaid by .19, three coins by .36-.55, depending on how you ordered and whether or not you got insurance. And so forth... I originally planned to refund thruough paypal anyone who wanted the difference. Unfortunately, paypal only holds this option available for 60 days. If I use the send money option, not only do I not get part of the fee back, but paypal will take another cut. I think they will take all of it if it is less than .40, but I have never tried it. Either way, for amounts overpaid that are under $1., the funds will be used for the SCGA unless you e-mail me at scsissy @ sc.rr.com (no spaces). Anyone who overpaid by more than $1 will be getting an e-mail about it. If you do not get an e-mail, it was less than $1. Hope this helps clear things up! And btw, if you look at my profile and read my latest logs, you will see what else I did in NY! Sissy
  4. ME ME ME ME!!!!(Waving hand wildly in the air!) Wed or Thurs (or possibly both if needed) I will be available. I can bring the rope ladder and give you as much or as little help as you wish. I LOVE any excuse to go out there, and laughing at the positions you will find yourself in is the best reason ever! I will also bring the camera, or use yours, so you can have pics to show your family (who will not believe you otherwise.) Don't worry about the frozen water. It doesn't get THAT cold here. I go to work around 3 am and have been able to ride my scooter every day so far. If you decline the offer, take your cell phone and my number. 607-0121 You can borrow the rope ladder either way.
  5. Definitely 600 South Africa's minted, two runs of 300 each. I should know, as I shipped every one of them! Sissy
  6. The plain capsules are still on our site. We will be bringing more and more stuff online every day or two until it is all gone. We're going to have to play it by ear just how quick everything is going to be listed, though.
  7. CR has changed the site to remove the items he can no longer provide. The remaining stencils, Traveller tags and marked Bison tubes will be sold on eBay. CR wants everyone to know it is my idea to dispose of the remaining stock in this manner. His position at work was 'eliminated' by the new owners , and I am not ashamed to admit that any extra funds generated by listing the items on eBay will be a help. The unmarked Bison tubes, battery holders, magnets and decals will still be available through the site. We have the machine to make the decals in the garage. Thanks for your understanding! Sissy
  8. Yes, it is minted in the US! Oops! Is North America OK? The coins are being produced in Canada.
  9. You have been heard! Unless I hear otherwise, all extra postage will go to the SCGA. We will be back in the fight with the legislature come January and I am sure the money will help (mailing stuff, printing flyers, etc.) If you want the extra (if any) refunded, you will have to tell me. Just drop me an e-mail so you don't get blasted here in the forums. Hydnsek- I know I can get your order in a flat rate priority mail box. Even insured, you will be due more than a few cents refund. I will e-mail you with the exact amount when I get them ready to ship to you, so you can reconsider. (Right now it looks like between 20 and 30 bucks refunded.) The cost of the envelopes and tape and other packing stuff is in the price of the coin. Refunding a partial amount through paypal is easy. I have received several orders from Germany. When the coins come in and I know exactly how much extra it will cost to mail them, I will contact you. Team Maddie UK, CR forwarded your e-mail to me. I think there is a letter that has to be sent with yours for customs. I will have to look it up again and get back to you. Give me 24 hrs. We do get your e-mail and will do our best to respond promptly. BUT, we both have full time jobs, and the coins won't be here for several weeks. If you don't get an answer in a few days (not hours), drop another line to nudge me. CR and I are a married couple, share a house, but not computers or office space. We have a 3 bedroom home, our room, my room and his room. My daughter sleeps on the couch when she overnights. Helps keep her at her house!
  10. Just a quick note- We do not have these coins in our hot little hands yet. As such, the shipping charges are just a best guess. If the US shipping ends up being more, you win! We will pay the difference. If the shipping is less, I will refund the difference back to you through paypal. I will use the least expensive method to ship them possible. Most will be going USPS first class mail. On larger orders, it might be a flat-rate priority envelope or box. You will not be overcharged for the shipping. Sissy
  11. I just came across this thread today. I don't read the forums as often as some do. I am a "part-time" trucker. I regularly put in 60 hour weeks, but I am home every night and only run two states. I don't know where my next trip will be until the previous evening. I have only cached once while at work. I was making a delivery to a store in a town that has one of my caches. I knew I needed to pay it a maintenance visit, so after I unloaded, I talked one of the guys at the store into letting me borrow his car! The furthest I have to drive in one shot (from warehouse to store) is about 220 miles. It is rare that I stop for anything, even though the company doesn't care if we stop on the return trip. I like the idea of including the large vehicle parking icon. If you are REALLY desperate to cache on a layover, find a place to drop the trailer and bob-tail around town. Good luck! Sissy
  12. I don't. But we do have something that will work. We did not know what we had when we found our first TB, so we started adding these to the TB's we found. Others liked them, but alas, we could not afford to put them on every TB out there. We still put them on the bugs we find that have specific missions, gratis. But here is where everyone can get them: second item on this page Sissy
  13. The title of this thread catches my eye and attention everytime I see it. Good job, Joypa. Do you work in marketing? On topic: I confess that I have been holding two TB's for longer than two weeks. We rescued them from one of our not-often-visited caches on our last maintenance visit, but perhaps we did not do them any favors as we haven't been out in the last few week-ends. It stinks when life gets in the way of going caching! Related issue of possible interest: We were issued 4 WJTB's to distribute (as then-members of the SCGA steering committee). We logged 3 into caches, and put the 4th in one of our more challenging caches unlogged (to surprise the next finder). The next (and only) finder since then did not mention it, so I e-mailed him to see if it was still there. this is part of his reply-- "Hi, I did not grab the white jeep. I was just happy to hold the pen between my teeth and sign my name on that one. To be honest I didn't even look through the cache to see what was in it." I guess he was too busy trying to balance and hold on! Sissy
  14. If folks get their stats consolidated into one page, can I get the ability to hide ours from everyone but us? I figure it's no one else's business other than our own, thank you very much. ~CR <--because I'm still not a premium member.
  15. 16. Update 8-17 11:40AM EDT Mailed yesterday: Stuck on WSG84 - 4 Today: Camel680 - 2 Adding back in the unclaimed coins, there are 27 coins available. If your coins were insured, you can either e-mail me when you get them, or post it here. You don't have to do both. It is just less paperwork for me to keep track of if I know you got them. Thanks, everyone! Sissy
  17. Really? I don't think I've got the first piece of email from them other than asign up authorization and log notification.
  18. I'd be careful with using this site for a project like this because the only folks who would have access are members of this site and the only ones who could get an offline listing would be required to be paying members of this site. By relying on this site you're are making it proprietary and subject to Jeremy's control. ~CR
  19. Then I don't really get what this is for. Are we just building an online directory? What good is it going to be? How is this a replacement for virts? I just don't get it. ~CR again.
  20. ...or can you just rifle through the phonebook and start claiming finds? ~CR <--me again and my non-premium member self.
  21. ...for you to license out to others? Yes, count on me to bring up the negative, but quite frankly, I'm not feeling it just yet. ~CR <-- going to be in trouble for using the wife's account as I'm not a premium member. EDIT: The title should be "Curious. Who is going to own this?" I guess I'm just nervous about using the wife's account.
  22. Can I see because I'm in my own profile or can everyone see it? ~CR <-- Because I'm not a premium member.

Sissy
  24. Update 8-13-05 1PM EDT Caught up! (and it's a good feeling!) I did not make it to the post office by noon, so these will be mailed Monday: YoGuRt99 +1 - 2 thisismeisthatu - 4 The link has been sent to everyone who's e-mail I got. If you don't have the link, please send me a new e-mail. So far, 219 coins have been shipped, and another 52 are reserved. That leaves 29 still available. I am still holding coins for those who got sent the link last week but have yet to reply. If I get requests that outnumber availability, I will start using the reserved coins from those who have not responded. My thanks to those letting me know the coins made it! I can toss the little green slip from the post office from the insured lots. Sissy
