  1. Sure, PM me (use my profile's email link) and I'd be happy to send you the large version of the file. Just make sure I get a cut if you sell it for $100K to a magazine or one of those "inspirational poster" companies.
  2. Thanks! The photo was taken at about 6:10am on the Summer Solstace looking East ... approx 600-700 ft. above the valley "floor". And, believe it or not, I did no Photoshop "trickery" to modify it. The pic is "as is" out of the digital camera (small, hand-held, point-n-shoot variety at that). Fun stuff! A nice reward for getting myself out of bed early for a morning hike. I'll probably never take another like it in my lifetime. Here's the rest of the log with a few more pics if you're interested. The cache is part of the "7 Wonderful Women Series" by LostBoy1. Highly recommended if you're ever in the Amherst, MA area. I have not done all 7, but they're high on my "too do" list. 7 Wonderful Women Series /// Allison (by LostBoy1) Cheers, Matt
  3. Hi! This might seem a little presumptious of me, especially since I'm relatively new to GeoCaching. However, on a recent trip up "Bare Mountain" in the Pioneer Valley very early in the morning, I stopped at an overlook facing East and snapped a quick picture of the valley beneath me. It was a very cool, crisp morning with nice, rolling mist in the background. When I returned home and loaded the pic on my computer, I was frankly stunned at how nice the picture turned out. Here it is: 6-21-06 - View looking East halfway up Bare Mtn. [GCW825] I think it would be a good fit for the site's banner gallery and would love to find a way to bring it to the attention of the site admins for use in the banner gallery. Again, I know "nominating" my own picture might be a little .... ummm ... self congratulatory. However, not being a professional photographer, I was happy with the result and would love to share it with others. At the very least, I welcome your comments. All the best, Matt (Western Mass Clan)
  4. Hi! Please pardon me if this question has been asked before. We recently visited a local cache hoping to find a TB that was listed in it. Unfortunately, it was not. Upon further investigation, the TB was deposited in said cache in Aug. 2005. However, the cache has been reported as being empty of TB's as far back as Sept. 2005. So, this TB has been missing at least since then if that's the case! So, I posted a note to the listing to tell others that the TB (BAA HUMBUG) is not in the cache. I've also sent an email to the owner, though he has not yet removed it. Granted, I only wrote him 2 days ago so some time to respond is to be expected ... however, if a few months go by and the owner still hasn't removed the TB from the cache's inventory do the admins at geocaching.com have the ability to remove it? The onwer is a charter member and is very active with the site. I would hate for another geocacher with kids to go to the cache and be dissapointed to find it empty of TBs. Cheers! -- The Western Mass Clan
